Let’s be honest, this version is a slay. Looking back now, I also find it hilarious comparing it to the uptempo version of What I’ve Been Looking For from the first movie. With that song, Ryan and Sharpay at least had the same melody and key as what Kelsi wrote but just upped the tempo. With this one, Sharpay totally goes rogue and it’s barely even the same song as what Kelsi wrote originally 😂😂😂

I would think Sharpay didn't just want Troy to be on the show with her. She wanted him for herself, because she was jealous of him spending more time with Gabriella than he ever spent time with her. What really taunts me is that Sharpay has a selfish side that makes her controlling on one person and trying to keep others away. She may think she's cool, but that kind of action is NOT being cool at all. It's just being psychotic. And the fact that she forced Kelsi into changing the song for him and Gabriella to only be for him and her, I would think that’s plagiarizing.

I simply cannot fathom how or why anybody would consider this version of the song to be better than the original version! The original version as sung by Kelsie, Gabriella and Troy is easy on the ears, has a good melody and rhythm that you can easily bob your head along to!
