Drew was born to perform live. Vanessa's voice is so quiet. I can tell she's having a hard time running around and singing loud enough.

uhum you should check it on Wikipedia. "quote": The singing voice of "Troy Bolton" was not entirely of actor Zac Efron himself, but by the singer/actor Andrew Seeley. The songs for the film were already written when the actors were chosen. Some high passages he could not catch up. His voice was mixed with that of Andrew Seeley. The reason he couldn't get them was because Zac Efron is a baritone, He sings In High School Musical 2 himself, because the numbers where written in his pitch.

Yes, Drew did sing the majority of Troy's songs in HSM. If there were really only a scheduling problem for Zac, given how many fans he would have brought, they would have waited on the concert until he was ready. They had Drew do the concert because Zac couldn't vocally do the concert.

ok, in hsm, zac only sings the beginning in start of something new and the very last 2 lines, everything else drew sings, same with breaking free, but drew sings all of get'cha head in the game, what I've been looking for reprise, and we're all in this together, the only thing zac sings entirely is the acapella version of start of something new on the balcony

whoa right after the last part where they say "different than who we..." the music stopped and I'm like wait a minute, there's supposed to be more and yet they're cheering and I liked the ending of Breaking Free in this one better than the ending in the movie because the music I guess was a little higher. it's hard to explain just listen to the last part of the song in this one and the movie version and you may know.

I can't believe people don't know this yet : drew seeley did almost all the singing for troy in hsm 1, but it doesn't mean that zac can't sing. the producers just did'nt think zacs voice sounded as good as drews voice with rest of the hsm cast :) Zac is singing in hairspray and in hsm 2 , so you will here a differance, between troys voice, form the first movie to the second. Btw v & zac has so much better chemistry than v & drew, haha : p

yes, ok, it is clear that the voices of Drew and Zac were mixed in the first movie, and Drew admittedly does not sing badly, in contrast is very good singer ... but that does not despise the Zac ... second and third movie is Zac who sings, and the voices do not mix, it's just Zac and also have to admit, Zac has a very nice voice ... Both are incredible singing. For me personally but I love Zac's voice, but that does not disregard the work of Drew.
