We've owned blendtec industrial stealth for our cafe a decade ago, and now this one for home use, nothing beats it. Their technology is sound. You just have to read the manual for order of ingredients and correct programs to get the correct blend , no need for a plunger, that's dated technology. Blendtec designs their jars, and blades and motors to do all the work ( hence the great warranty - 8 years). They seemed to have one blooper with the brownie demo but the rep corrected the demo by saying "you generally add the liquid first" they simply got the sequencing wrong. Great blender.

It is a great blender. The second-best blender on the market. The Vitamix is the superior machine. I like the Blendtec aesthetic more, but the Vitamix creates better blends. The new jar design has pretty much eliminated the need for the plunger, and even so it's nice if you need it. The Blendtec may have more power on paper, but the Vitamix utilizes the power better. I prefer the Vitamix controls better as well.

Maybe a tamper would have helped. Work's in my Vitamix 5300

@@JoseLCiclista I haven't made ice cream yet but I plan on doing it soon. It makes awesome nut butters, milkshakes, and green smoothies. I'm going to make hot soup with it maybe this next week. I made Almond/Cashew Butter, and Milk with it yesterday.

Lol. No liquid. Puts a cup of grape juice at the bottom. The biggest mistake blendtec did was make fun of the tamper and not find a way to implement it themselves. It can't compete with all the Vitamix functions until it addresses that.

They should have went with a bigger jar with a tamper. The Twister jar is something I don't want to use plus it's too small. I prefer the manual controls on my Vitamix 5300.

Don't have to assist the machine, yea no tamper. Proceeds to use two long knives as a tamper. What a joke.

Even the tamper fails Vitamix at times. My problem with both is the jar is too large. Making smoothie bowls is not as simple as you think. It's also not as easy to get it out of the carafe.
