These two might not seem like the most appropriate vehicles to compare, but they do follow a similar set of values and offer very similar performance. Think of it as a luxury V8-Supercars-for-the-road comparison.
The HSV Senator Signature and the Volvo S60 Polestar deliver performance, practicality and comfort in very high levels. They both fall under the $100k price bracket, with the HSV kicking off from $83,990 and the Volvo starting at $99,990, and they both prove, as it turns out, there is such a thing as an 'everyday' track car. I'd just like to put out there that the Volvo's Nurburgring time is 7.51.110 and the HSV's time is 8.19.47. The Nurburgring is a trickier track and the Volvo's handling is far superior.

I know this comment is old but your very wrong with both those times. The HSV senator has never been on the Nürburgring and that 8:19 time your referring to is the SSV redline's time which is FAR inferior to the senator there is a power difference of almost 100 HP between the two and the senator also handles better than the SSV redline. The 7:51 time your referring to was not done by the standard S60 polestar either that was done with the concept car which not many of them were produced and there is a huge difference between the concept s60 polestar and this s60 polestar, I'm talking like a difference of 508 HP versus 350 HP and the concept car was also built for the track when it set that time as well, so yeah big difference lol.

How slow are the shifts on both of those cars. Terrible. As road cars they are both great but certainly wouldn't track either one. So much tyre squeal and visible understeer and very slow slush boxes. I would bet that a Macan S would be quicker than any of those around that track.
