Those in the know have always taken Volvo seriously when it comes to fast cars. The 2.5 turbo in the Focus ST and RS came from the Volvo V70 range (the XC70 being the best of those with awd and that 2.5 turbo engine). And let's not forget the epic 850R 👌🏻

I absolutely love my 2011 Volvo S60 T6 AWD. Funny thing is that down here in Oklahoma it flooded a few days ago and I had to drive home through some serious flowing water that was a few inches deep. Luckily my bad boy pressed through it and I was very impressed by its capability. Volvo for life!

I love Volvo. My dad had a 1965 442 when I was a child. That car was far beyond stock. You could still see the shifter knuckle on the steering column. Any way, the car got smashed. And the next thing my dad parked in the yard was an 81 Volvo 240. I couldn't understand how my dad went from such a beast to what I thought was last rabbit. He worked on that Coco and the next 4 Volvo's till I had such a respect gained for them. That the thought of muscle cars was just sigh. Great cars.

Power vs skill is not a blanket statement. You cant take a bad driver with a 1000 hp car with full traction and get beat by a good driver in a 500 hp car.

No it's a segment from a car show Fifth Gear. Like any car show the manufacturers loan the cars so obviously it comes across like an advertisement.

If it were a proper segment, they would have compared the s60 against other similarly priced (or performing) vehicles.

It's a real racing gearbox. You only need the clutch to get going and to stop. The gears are engaged pneumatically and to shift, load is taken away by cutting out the ignition for a split second. None of that overweight dual clutch nonsense going on here.
