Great video, very detailed like I needed. My new battery charges and works great. Unfortunately, the video does not express how difficult it is to separate the screen or the mid frame from the case. If this is your first phone repair like it was mine I'd recommend you have a replacement screen ready as you are likely to damage the LCD during removal as I did.

Thank you for this video which was very helpful. It took me an hour and a half - and I had to re-open it once because the power button would not work. One thing you have to watch out for: I broke the wires for the vibration motor while removing the battery; I had no clue they were there, and no idea where to re-connect them after. It's no problem, my Son hated vibrate anyway LOL... but something to watch out for, when doing this yourself. It took so long because I was taking extreme care and because of the power key issues. I have no glue for the screen so I will need to open it again to re-glue the screen on. For now, I have re-heated the back of the screen and pressed it into place.

I've done this repair myself, it's a royal bitch to do without damaging anything (Particularly the LCD). The display does show all graphics but some areas don't respond to touch (number 2 area when typing the pin code for example). What do you think might have happened here? Thanks in advance for your help!

Tui Matos, If, before taking it to repair, the device worked perfectly for you, it will be that during the battery replacement process, your screen has been damaged; if it didn't work for you before, and you want to leave it right, you will have to change both the battery and the screen. Best regards

Would certainly be a lot easier if you weren't wearing oversize rubber-fingered mittens. You fumbled repeatedly and then failed to properly close the screen ribbon connector because of them.

Not easy as it seems, I barely started this procedure, just carefully hot gun and lift the display step-by-step, and gave up immediately. The result is a broken corner of the display and touch screen partially not working. I buy a new phone now. I suggest to give your phone to a professional or buy a new.
