Repairs Universe what about a black screen after water damage? Phone turns on , it charges good still rings and notifications sounds good but the screen is still black

hi.. my unit works fine and i just tried to disassemble it to change the front frame attached to the lcd...i was careful removing all parts until i sliced the lcd when i was trying to remove it from the front frame... i tried to reassemble everything. but when i tried to test the unit, it doesnt power on... but when I charge the phone, it charges and the battery charging icon appears on the screen... what seems to be the steps I went wrong during the re-assembly? thanks
