To sum this up: no headphone jack, no waterproofing, poor speakers, small fingerprint sensor, ridiculously small battery (the Xiaomi Mi Mix has 4400mAh battery), no IR, no dual camera, bi camera hump, $750. I'd buy a Galaxy S7 Edge over this and that came out a year ago. In reality, people who work at ATT, Sprint, and Verizon just push whatever phone they want. The majority of people going in there don't know anything about phones and it's equivalent to selling used cars. If HTC shows seller incentive people will push it. But it probably won't do well regardless. More and more companies are going with 2 year contract/upgrade plans though, so that 750 tag turns into ~25 bucks a month. Which really isn't that bad.

I have been using it for couple of days and trust me, no headphone jack is not a problem at all. the audio is excellent on the Usonic earphones. The extra display is great to have all the apps that use frequently. Price might be a little price for some, but these are the same people who buy Apple and Samsung. This phone is twice better than what others have in market. So why nag about the price.

Battery life has been an Achilles's heel of HTC phones for way too long. But they continue to use crappy low capacity batteries in their phones. God knows what they've been snorting all this while in the name of R&D. And then the over-optimistic pricing! It has been a downhill ride since the One M8 for HTC. They've done nothing to change that. Comebacks are rare in this industry. Not everyone can be Nokia, and even with them, the industry is unsure until their flagship phones arrive in the market again. Unfortunately for HTC, they simply do not have that privilege or the brand value that Nokia still commands.

You are correct, but just think if this phone with its massive size would have had the largest battery. Had been water proof, and advanced audio which they started in the first place. They can make a comeback, but your point above shows why. I used to love HTC back in the day, they built a great phone with minimum advertising. Now they are a waste of phone space.

i would buy it because i like how it Looks , and i like the HTC Sence mmore than any other Android Smartphone . I use my Phone for E-mails , Calls and WhatsApp , so i dont really care about CPU , RAM , or any other stuff. Johannes Meyerle actually I bought the zte axon 7 2 days ago, that's the best. It cost me $240 on gearbest, it has Snapdragon 820, 4 GB RAM, 64GB ROM, HiFi DAC, front facing dolby atmos speakers, Quad HD AMOLED Display... Best bang for your buck.
