He wanted to capture the Nuclear Power Plant in northern Kursk to use it as a bargaining chip. He might have succeeded had he done this as a first move, instead of attacking Belgorod and Moscow. The element of surprise would’ve been on his side back then. Because Zelenskyy did those two attacks, and others attacks inside Russia, there was no element of surprise, and despite the fact that Russia really didn’t fortify Kursk, as they should’ve done, Russia was able to provide a rapid response. In many ways, that was a strategic mistake by Putin not to fortify Kursk. Had Ukraine managed to capture, or cause that nuclear power plant to have a meltdown, Putin would be in hot water with his people and political enemies inside of Russia. The coup in Russia the west is using Ukraine to provoke very well may have happened. Ukraine is basically bumbling their way through this war for the past 18 months. Even if they come up with a great plan to turn it around, they wasted everything they had to give them leverage taking potshots at Russia with silly little attacks here and there. Ukraine is out of money to pay troops out of weapons and out of men to fight. They have taken 10 times the casualties of Russia. So how are they making it costly for Russia. Ukraine is finished. It's an artillery war that the nato General said Russia is pumping out more artillery rounds a week than all of nato in a month. So how are u still believing the fake news u are watching. Ukraine has accomplished nothing but the destruction of there country and the loss of generations of men and there economy is dead broke. And any boy or man is fleeing across the border fast as they can daily so they aren't snatched off the streets and thrown in the trenches to be slaughtered. Maybe u should check out war maps and look at the results the past 6 months then maybe u will understand the reality of Ukraine forces being crushed. And nothing no fool sends them will change or haul the Russians offensive. They are outgunned out numbered and way better trained than the conscript army of Ukraine.
