HTP Pro Pulse 220 MTS VS Everlast 253DPi comparison Part 5 - double pulse and remote control

This video is part of a multi part series. I am a hobbyist and I bough both of these machines with my own money. Both machines carry a money back guarantee and I am taking you with me on the journey to find out what these machines are all about and which one I am going to keep.
In multiple videos I will be testing the aluminum welding capabilities, single pulse and double pulse. I will also be looking at the inside to determine the build quality, measuring the output amperage on the machines and anything else I can think of to help me make my decision.

I've been watching this series and I've come to the conclusion that the HTP unit is much better and easier to operate. I have a powermig 300 set up with a push/pull binzel but is too much machine to do field welding plus it's pulse on pulse doesn't work anything like the HTP and still have to manipulate by hand if I want pleasing looking welds. Very informative and thanks for the videos. Having a hard time getting a HTP in Canada

I fully agree with you, many of the cheaper Pulse MIG's appear to have 6 billion different settings that can be adjusted but getting them tuned in is almost impossible, the more expensive units you are actually paying for the simplicity of the company actually doing their homework and simplifying all the bullshit so that the thing just works with their presets for x thickness of metal. The HTP does this very well.

It would be great if you could do a 1 year update after using one/both of these machines. This video isn't too helpful because you're still learning how to dial in the machines, so it is hard for the viewer to get a true comparison between them.

HTP for the win!! I'm going to opt for the Pro Pulse 300 though. Thanks so much for such a thorough review of these machines inside and out.

Propulse 300 is nice but at nearly 6k dollars I could order a comparable miller (millermatic 255 or multi-matic 255) pulsed mig setup for about half that. When the propulse was introduced, I had the option to pre-order for about 3800 USD, I regret not doing that but I wasn't sure at the time I could afford it.

Kudos for the series very informative, well presented, lots of usefull info 10/10 , both has its own pros and cons just if HTP make a biger one with all that amazing features, the remote pulse its amazing great idea I even says its a game changer ( I have a Millermatic 350p, Lincoln powermmig 350mp and a Fronius transpuls synergic 5000 ) and only for this feature the HTP for me its superior from all of them. Only if HTP made a biger machine with all that bells and whistles Im in

Don't listen to this guy. He's obviously an HTP fan boy. He can hardly weld and is just talking out his ass. The 253dpi weighs twice as much because it's a much better built machine. Just look at the drive unit. It's all aluminum construction with 4 driven rollers compared to HTP which has one powered drive roller and the unit is plastic. I was laughing at his review of the machine internals and comparing them... 😂

I own both machines and decided to keep the HTP, not because it’s a better machine, but because of space. The Everlast is a more powerful machine, easy to operate IF you read the manual thoroughly. It’s drive system is mush better/robust. You’d have to go to the HTP 300 to get that. Yes, the internals may not be as pretty but I understand Everlast welders have a long history of trouble free operation. I also own the Invertig and my Everlast Tig was a better welder in many ways. If it weren’t so loud I would have kept it.

I'm thinking about buying the Everlast. Is it a easy machine to use. Is the pulse hard to get set right.

@@claudemaggard7162 it’s a bit tricky but not un-reasonable. I’m having more trouble with the HTP to be honest. None the less, just like any welding process, once you get it dialled in it works great.
