A moving video bring out so many moving true stories and they are heart warming bit and pieces to be weave back into whole. Thanks for such a captivating moment. Make HK heart warming again!!
I am so nostalgic. I spent my youth there. Worked in some of the most undesirable jobs 7 days a week, 10+ hours a day with little hope of a future. I always look back with fondness.

那時住BB座,讀領島小學,甚好的童年回憶,此己是半世紀多以前的事了,堪有回憶。

請問你讀嶺島小學時,黎鐵樑老師仍然任教嗎?

P.6 teacher ( only one class at Afternoon sessions) Mr Lai was there , and passed away during the days he worked at the new Ling To Catholic Primary School in Ho Man Tin, and he tried to gather the old students as a group of Alumnus. Mr. Lai left us in the 80’s, I am not so sure as I left school in 1963 ( P.4), as I repeated at P.3 & P.4. when I was 12. And I had never reached to P.6 due to begin my first job in my life in order to support my family with 11 members in WTS. * Mr. Lai was one of the male teachers who beaten me desperately with the metal-edged ruler, then chopped, whenever I stayed behind after the class.(Lau Tong). * I sometimes read the School information of the new Ling To, and found that the TVB actress Ms. Law Man-Chong graduated in the mid- 80’s .

Lucky you lived in the pink Block BB, that was an individual building right next to the Temple, with fresh air at least, unlike others that stuck closely.

I do miss the days in Ling To, tell you the truth, My Dad showed me the results of the yearly Examination I had before the first job, at the bookstore where I had to sleep there every single night as watchman, It was Number one among 45 classmates, it might be an advantage of repeating at P.4, anyhow, there’s no other siblings who could reach top 10, haha!

Ling To, I still love you deeply, I shedded a tear mostly even now whenever I saw my beloved and only school .
I was born in Wong Tai Sin estate and lived there until I was 6 years old then my family moved to Lower NTK Estates until I moved to US I still remembered those days as a kid looked at sky when I was standing in the hallway outside of my apartment and thought what was out there! I also remembered the riots in 60s'. Today HK was worse than those old days because I was never hurt by those rioters unlike today!
