I read from another comment that it’s common in Japan for the first-arriving engine to not go inside and instead hit it from the outside while the second-arriving engine goes in after the fire is knocked down from the outside, which seems completely backwards to me. I was always taught to fight fires from the inside-out unless the building was fully involved with fire on arrival, and that the first-arriving engine needs to go inside and get the fire.

Maybe it's to stop the spread of the fire to other buildings, they can be packed very close together.
This Shikokuchuo is a small rural town in Japan. So please don't blame the firefighters for appearing late.

What be late for YOU? The normal arrival at fire site be around ten minutes after first emercency call in the most countries. If you see arrived and starts with watering the fire place is very fast in opposite to the U.S.A. firefighters. No problem to start first from outside and then from inside.

At least the building burned slowly. Perhaps it was made of concrete instead of wood, plastic and glue?

Japan does a lot of things really well. Fighting fire isn't one of them.

To put out that fire you need to get inside.

Oh mein Gott. Was für eine langsame Feuerwehr. Keine Drehleiter, nichts.. Und dann diese Kabeln überall.. Furchtbar..

diese Kabel überall = keine Drehleiter
@robbypolter66894 жыл бұрын
Why is this in the "Comedy Section"? Also try ENGLISH you might get some more responses! Where the HELL is that Fire Truck going? He FLEW right past the FIRE!..... OH! I see the closest Fire Hydrant must have been a L O N G Way away.
