Thank you for this reaction ❤❤ He is Hua Chenyu, he was a mentor on a competition and she is Su Shiding who was the competitor. He arranged this version of an old Chinese song from the 1950's finally I think. The other duet they did in this show is called "Perhaps Love" and that is so different but equally stunning. Hua Chenyu is a genius at both composing and rearranging songs and has a huge body of work, although a lot of the arrangements of covers were done for competitions either as competitor or mentor, he always gives his all! 🌺🌺

You have reacted to Hua Chenyu before, he did "Nunchucks" on Singer 2018. This is a show called The Next, on this show professional singers are given a song or melody that they need to rearrange within 24 hours. Amateur singers decide the songs/melody that the professional singers have to arrange and perform and then compete against them with a song of their own choice. If the amateur singer get enough wins they collab with one of the profesional singers. This performance is a result of such a collaboration and was also arranged within 24 hours. He is a genius composer, song writer and singer. He has been one of my favorites since 2018 ,2020 SINGER competition. His MARS concerts are epic.

You have already reacted to Hua Chenyu performing "Nunchucks". 🙂Nanping Evening Bell refers to the ringing of the bronze bell at Jingci Temple near Nanping Hill in Hangzhou, China, during the evening hours. This is a beautiful song and I like the unexpected build up. Hua Chenyu is very creative and an amazing artist. Su Shiding's vocals were very beautiful. As someone mentioned in the comments, there is another duet between the two called “Perhaps Love”, which is also great. I wanted to mention Su Shiding's name in the comment to my request, but the text field allows only 127 characters, so there was not enough space left. Unfortunately the video has audio glitches, but it's the same with the other uploads I checked.

Thank you so much for your reaction. I know that reactors only react to songs, but I feel you would gain a lot more when reacting to Hua Hua’s songs in the future if you get to know more about him as a person, how he interacts with others, how he goes about putting an arrangement together, and then performing the song. I suggest you watch an episode of a programme called The Next. (This performance of Nanping Evening Bells is from an episode of this show.) The Next was an amazing show where contestants got to challenge the judges/mentors in a sing-off. The chosen judge then had to perform a song selected by the contestant. They then only had 24 hours to learn and rearrange the song, while the contestant could sing a song of their own choosing. Go to Hua Chenyu English Subs, click on Home, and then scroll down to The Next and choose the third video. As this video over one and a half hours long, it is probably too long to break into segments, so I suggest watch it alone first.

@@rosareis8191 Thank you! I feel that Hua Hau deserves to also be recognised for the amazing person he is. I have also watched nearly all episodes of Ace vs Ace. Hua Hua debuted in Season 4 (not subtitled in English) and was very shy, awkward at times, but still very lovely. From Season 5 onwards, you can find them with English subtitles. It's been amazing how much Hua Hua has gained confidence in himself and in his interaction with others since he began on the show. Well worth watching these shows!! I haven't laughed so much for a long time. Hi from New Zealand.

@@LindaN-c2t Yes I watch Aces vs Aces several times and I have a lot of fun with HuaHua and the others. They make a great entertainment team. In every performance of his, I remember the introverted and strange HuaHua, it is impossible not to remember his every word, every image at that time and it is impossible not to be moved and moved by every expression of astonishment, every smile, every laugh, in short, HuaHua in the present, so different from the past but equally moving 💞💞

Thanks so much, very perceptive. Indeed this was a cover of an old love song and the other singer was being mentored by Hua Chenyu. If you thought this was interesting, you should listen to some of Hua Chenyu's own music, Illusion and Reality, Bullfighting, Seven Personalities, Madhouse. He is like no other singer/songwriter. His music, everything he writes about, gives me hope for the world.

Thank you for your Reaction. Yes, the Love song at start, with chiming bell piano. And, then, Hua Hua brought a modern twist. Su Sidings voice is stunning. And Hua Hua is superb at fitting his vocals to their voice. He has several duets. And each is superb. He and Su Shiding have another duet ("Perhaps Love" ), which is quite Broadway. For me, Hua Chenyu is a cross between Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael, Steven Tyler, and... Elton John. 🤣 Be careful for Copyright. You may need to blur it.
