Yes, Hua Chenyu is a rock star. After he won the televised singing competition called Superboy in 2013 he has steadily ascended to the top of the Chinese music industry. He is the biggest music artist that China has right now. It actually isn't even close when you compare him to other Chinese artists. His song, "I really want to love this world" was debuted at one of his Mars concerts in November of 2019. It shot to number 1 on many Chinese music charts and then stayed at number 1 until May 2020. In May 2020 it was still number 1 on 3 different Chinese music charts and its sales numbers broke just about every record in the Chinese music industry. He has a great connection with his fans as well. He is the only artist that can sell out 3 consecutive nights at the 90,000 Birds Nest stadium in Beijing. He not only sells out all 3 nights but all three nights sell out in under 5 minutes (yes, China has a ticket scalping problem). Not since Freddie Mercury has there been someone with his stage presence. Freddie Mercury was one of his idols as a child and he has said that he used to study old video's of Freddie's performances. Freddie influence is obvious when you watch video's of his concerts. He has a similar command of his audience and he loves to interact with them. There are so many different Hua Chenyu video's here on KZbin. Just like with Queen and Freddie, the live performances are the best video's. The larger the audience he is in front of, the better he is. No two songs are going to be the same and while some are good to very good, there are many more that will blow your mind.

Singer 2018 was an awesome season, featuring so many amazing performances. This one was one of my favorites that season. Another one by Hua was "I Don't Care," which was just as EPIC. Other contestants with amazing performances that season you should check out: 1. Tengri - "Heaven" 2. Jessie J - all thirteen of her performances! 3. KZ Tandingan- "See You Again" and "Say Something." All the three recommendations are not just amazing but downright memorable performances. Singer is awesome and I hope some producers are watching because we frigging need this "next level" show here! Love your reactions!

Thank you for reacting to Nunchucks! :) There is no studio record of this song, it's Hua's rearrangement of Jay Chou's rap song done especially for the Singer 2018 competition. It was in the rules of the competition that all singers should present rearrangements and had the right to present at most two of their own songs. Hua is a total show - so very smart to mix traditional Chinese music with more western type tracks... he is so very talented. Everyone from The Singer shows (all seasons) and Our Song...are worth having a look at. Also, most of them are friends and have supported each other outside of the shows by working on certain sound tracks of dramas/movies. Another great all rounder to check out would by Wang Yibo...very talented guy.
