In this video I go for an awesome Thai food lunch at Aunt Jaew's Kitchen Restaurant in Hua Hin Thailand with my friend Leigh from local food tour company, Feast Thailand. The restaurant has a great variety of well-priced and delicious Thai food, and a number of very tasty Thai dishes that you won't often see in other Thai restaurants. Everything we had was absolutely delicious!

Another great episode, Darren, you are genuine, no fake flare, no fake faces, just clean down right humble. I appreciate everything you do on the local level, many of us would never see these places, your criticism really counts, you live there, you have become a local yourself.

Hi Jodie, Unfortunately I live and work in the south of Thailand, so it's not easy for me to get to Isaan, but I do love and promote Isaan food when I can. I wasn’t impressed by Hua Hin area at all. Some restaurants were very expensive, compared to other parts of Thailand. Beached are not great either. The only great thing about Hua Hin ( in my experience) is its proximity to Bangkok. Shame I didn’t find this restaurant - looks really yum.

That basically sums up Hua Hin. Thai food isn't anymore expensive here than others parts of thailand. What is more expensive is western food like pizza, etc.--but you'll find that anywhere in Thailand. If one goes back into the neighborhoods, you'll find great little thai restaurants where u can have a drink (bottled water), appetizer, main meal, and desert for under 200 baht.

I ate here when I lived in Hua Hin. Good food. Just up the road, North, is a great Khao Soi restaurant.

I just spent 2 months there (Jan & Feb). Not my favorite town or beach in Thailand, but I have dear friends there. Stayed 5 minutes from Aunt Jaew's Kitchen (didn't try Jaew's Kitchen but will next time) at La Casita condo. The night markets were okay there, but enjoy Phuket's, Ao Nang much more. The Hua Hin Kitchen right next door to my condo was rather good. The fried calamari was the best I've had anywhere in the world--it was that good. And Thi Baan Bistro on 4 between my condo and Blu Port Mall was really good food at ridiculously low prices. You could go in there have an appetizer, meal, desert, and bottled water for 165 baht. I'll have to try Aunt Jaew's next time I am there. thx.
