I’m so excited for this trip, one which feels more to be a beautiful and fun tour with new friends, a tour IN my home country, where we also happen to all riding together for several hours each day between stops. 😂
Thank you so much for joining with us, and giving me the chance to share one of the things I am MOST passionate about - friendship, shared encouragement, love of one another and nature around us - getting to ride a bicycle for 10 non-stop days in Thailand is literally a dream, even for those of us who already live here :) and I feel so lucky to have taken part in this trip!!

Brooooo :). Cheers to the Saep-ness, I was always smiling seeing how well represented Som Tam and Laap are all across Thailand. These are the two items on EVERY menu it seems, no matter what region we visit... I was indeed riding a few minutes ahead, sometimes even one-handing the drone, sometimes chasing the bunch, it was a good experience! And it is not easy to ride, eat, and also have the camera out and then packed up again when everyone else only has to eat.

You gotta be nuts ! I drove a 125 cc motorcycle from hua hin to petchaburi and back in one day and it was hellish !hot and dry Sun cooking. Then I did a trip down to pranakon cave camped overnight and back the next day, again only an hour or so but just so hot and dry in that area it was a very hard ride. I can’t believe you’re doing it on a bicycle 😳😲

That’s a great question HUTO! My answer to all of that would be yes, undoubtedly, the weather and the food are both better. I think that’s not surprising though… But I also might expect you are unaware that I grew up in Africa. I did not grow up in the USA :-) However, yes, my parents home is in Michigan, and you might be curious why I do not live in Michigan, and yes, like I said, the weather and the food here are better, but maybe that’s still not reason enough on its own to live somewhere. For me, it is the freedom - the freedom and safety in Thailand are incredible, I can ride my bike in safety, I can live with my wife and not worry about our safety at home, I can also do what I want to do for work without the pressure to make thousands of dollars every month and still not have enough to live my “dreams.” I think that all of these are powerful reasons and things for which I’m so thankful are available here in Thailand.
