Hua Hin, Thailand Condo For Rent & Sale 2023

I'm looking at condos in the beach resort city of Hua Hin, Thailand, to get an idea of demand and price compared to my home base in Pattaya, Thailand. After first getting rent prices from Marvest Condo and Roco Condominium, I proceed to Intercontinental Residences for the for-sale price on a few available condos. The demand and prices were higher than I was expecting.

Condos mgmt can raise your utilities at will in addition to gov increases. A rental cannot raise your rates in the same way except for the obvious rise in per unit consumption rates. With the recent astronomical rise in electric prices people better take notice of the extra fees associated with being in a condo community. Thailands a renters market and discounted long term rental contracts are worth it. Guarantee you can do a 10 year lease for $400 if they’re asking $580 for a year lease.

Those prices are mental Jake - Stick to Pattaya - Far more going on than in "Sleepy" HH with Ferrang Friendly prices........

Thanks for the upload Jake. It seems like most condos in Thailand are around 30 sq meters. Do you know why they build so many small condos? 80 sq meters would be a great size.

More profitable for the builder, more units can be sold. Also more profitable as rentals. In the US, my small studios and 1 bath/1 bedroom apartments always cash flow better than my big 2 bath/3 bed units. Condos always get smaller, and prices increase as they get closer to the beach. I see the same thing in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I was surprised to see such high prices in Hua Hin, getting close to US Gulf Coast prices.

We are looking for a 1 bedroom condo to rent for the month of February that is near or on the beach and has a balcony you can sit and have coffee on, with a view and not crazy expensive. Can you recommend anything? Thanks Guy & Ros

Hua Hin is more expensive than other cities in Thailand, with beachfront views. I can't recommend one, because there are many good condos. Due to the vacancy rate, the challenge for me was finding available units in the best locations. Pattaya is a very different experience, there is much more to choose from at better prices. Using ABNB is the best option to rent a condo for only one month. I hope this was helpful. 🙏🏼

Depends on the deal you get. I bought an 80SM 3 bedroom 2 bath condo bordering Fisherman's Village on Koh Samui for 2.3M thb. It rents for $1,000 USD. I also a nice 3 bedroom pool villa for 4.2M thb near Chongmon Beach, Samui. It rents for $1800 USD.

I used the DJI Action 3 in this video. I finally became too annoyed with my unreliable, overheating, poor battery life Go Pro. Except for the audio, the DJI has been much better to work with. The Go Pros have better microphones. Sound in the DJI, in comparison, is tinny and too easily picks up wind noise from the very slightest breeze.
