One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Long time iPhone (wired) earbud / Galaxy Buds user here. This product deserves more love and credit than most reviews give it. I'd bought the Huawei Freelace as emergency holiday replacement for my Galaxy Buds+ which I brought to the repair shop; accidentally forgot them in my pocket (again) and put them in the washing machine. As I was traveling for 3 weeks I desperately needed something relatively cheap but reliable for on the go. I just bought it blind in the shop. After buying and reading the reviews, I was a bit worried about the fit, ear pain and audio quality. I have quite small ear canals and usually wear ear buds while being moderately to very active, so a great fit is a must for me. But I have to say that the fit is great: they stay in while running, walking, working out or laying down. They don't hurt at all. The sound quality is okay: audiophiles should go for a home stereo or on-ear headsets anyways. These type of ear buds are more about convenience of use. The sound is very comparable to the original iPhone ear buds, so great for use while commuting, working out and (business) calls. I believe that the video doesn't do justice to the real quality when wearing them snuck in ear. I am happy with the cord and magnets solution, as I always keep losing those true wireless earbuds. The look is good: it's personal, but I think they look distinguished and cool while wearing, and not look like a tacky fool like other wireless ear buds. In my opinion definitely more stylish than those iPhone airpods which have a design I never understood anyways. Who would want to like to look like someone wearing electrical toothbrushes in his ears? What I also like is that you can charge them by plugging them into your Huawei (I have a P30 pro) for a couple of minutes to gain hours of battery. Only point of improvement is that the Bluetooth doesn't always immediately connect. Then I need to first plug it in my phone for a few seconds and it will recognize it again through Bluetooth. All in all I give this product a 8.5/10.

Got these with P20 Pro. These earphones are smashing. Love the sound especially deep bass and nice design. Listen electronic music. Also great as hands free system while driving. Im giving 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

to be fair i just grabbed a pair for about £60 and for that price they are awesome and id personally say one of the best on the market , they have great audio , the wind cancelling works on calls very well , love the magnets for connecting and disconnecting , love the usbc charging , they are comfy , for the price i paid they are hard to beat ;-)

Imran Mohammed they should charge on most phones that support usbc and if they don’t charge via the phones usbc port they come with an adapter to charge from the mains The magnet on/off should work on any phone and obviously google assistant etc will work If you don’t have huawei phone you just have to pair them manually instead of plugging them into the phone Great headphones , just sold my AirPods because of these and the price ✌️

Because iPhone uses a different USB port, you will be missing out on the convenience of just plugging the Freelace in your phone to charge them. But connecting through Bluetooth shouldn't be an issue

Strangely I had the same with the first pair I bought. Thought it was me and tried everything. But no Bluetooth connection and no led lights indicating it was charging. This should go on automatically. I went back to the shop and got a new pair. Seems my first pair was broken.
