at $200 dollars less than the note and about the same price as the S8 this was a no brainer to buy for me. Plus i think Huaweis implementation of the dual camera is spot on. I dont need a zoom lens, i got my feet for that. and i also think Huaweis tend to age well unlike samsungs that tend to bog down.

It has a better screen while the Mate 10 Pro has better everything else from battery life, charging times, cameras front and back, speakers, SOC, performance, fingerprint sensor, to signal reception, LTE speeds, and long term performance etc.

Şpeaker is louder in S8+, charging time of Mate causes later battery problems and Mate HAS problems with fast battery draining, cameras aren't better except in pitch dark and Mates video is terrible, performance is better because it uses Oreo and S8+ is on Nougat (so we can't compare it), fingerprint sensor the same speed, after 5 months of using my S8+ is still fast and stable. And plus S8 has fresh design as no phone today. That's why I sold my Mate pro. It is good but it isn't better than S8+ - sorry I know you love your phone but I am trying to be honest.

Speakers are louder and output way higher quality sound on the Mate 10 Pro, everyone knows Samsung has shit speakers. Charging times don't cause any problems, my Mate 9 is still perfectly fine in fact battery life has gotten better on the Mate 9, plus Mate 10 Pro has the first and only safe fast charging system in the world certified by TUV Rheinland. I've already said there was a bug with early software on the Mate 10 Pro where Google services were eating up 50% of battery (now fixed), that's why battery drained fast, not because of fast charging. Battery life right now on the Mate 10 Pro blows all other flagships out of the water. Cameras are better in every situation, both front and back, the S8 cameras are pathetic in comparison, also Mate 10's video recording quality is way better than the S8's or the Note 8's. Performance is better because of Kirin 970, also there won't be tons of lag after two months. Are you blind? Fingerprint sensor is way way faster on the Mate 10 Pro lmao it's like at least four to five times faster and you say they're the same speed? Samsung fanboys are so laughable. The curved screen is not only ugly but awkward to hold and use in actual usage. Trying sticking to facts, like I've said the S8+ has a better screen that's literally it, Mate 10 Pro has better everything else, there is no comparison between the two because they're on different levels.

No, s8+ has really good speaker and much louder and better sound than mates. Also mics are much better. I had mate pro and had high battery draining, maybe it is fixed with new update but many people on net still have the same issue. But hey, it is important that you are satisfied with it. I am too, with my s8+.

I've got a mate 10 pro and tempted to send it back to see if something is wrong with it, it's no where near as fluid as my U11 but no review mentions this, mines juddery and laggy when scrolling through something like Facebook, generally just using it. Hummm.

You can use the fingerprint sensor for navigating certain things on the Pro. This review adds nothing to any of the other reviews I have seen of the Pro. No one seems to talk about the DAC which allows for a stellar music listening experience....

Got the Mate 10 Pro a week ago, both USB C headphones and an adapter are included in the box, I was a little bummed about the jack too but with everything included can't really complain, esp. with the monster battery.

Better than the Mate 9 by more than I'd thought, when the Mate 9 would be at around 50% it'd still have around 75%. I was surprised by the battery life.

What you heard may be the Google services eating up 50% of battery issue, which was a developer unit software bug and has been fixed.

philip taft True,,,, mid-range is the way to go. Hardware is working so well on mid-range devices and build quality is almost the same, sometimes better than the grand phones. One plus and the others are showing, it can be done. The mighty four, are gonna have to watch their wallets. The mid-range outfits are gonna steal their glory. Probably not. Too many folks just gotta have, the names.

Got the Mate 10 Pro a week ago, screen is absolutely gorgeous, much better than QHD panels on the Pixel 2 XL and LG V30, you cannot tell it's a 1080P panel, if you're not a heavy VR user this is the one to get.

good battery life. and nice big screen 16:9. built in aps are crap. camera stabilisation is poor try videoing in your car the vibration sends the picture crazy. resolution and noise is not as good as my year old samsung.

When are these companies gonna realize there's nothing like front facing stereo speakers. When you have to cup the bottom speaker just to not accidentally mute it or cover it, you're losing the fancy pants supposed stereo sound. After having the moto X pure and the Alcatel Idol 4s,, there is no other I will buy. Front facing or nothing.

so.. everyone is soo happy about their phone. i have a huawei mate 10 pro, and i kinda think it might be the worse one on the planet.(because i never heard this from other devices) it is full of bugs, sometimes it does stuff on its own for 1 minute or longer, it has lag in some animation, doesn,t detect touches, slides sometimes. and i heard that this one isn,t just for me- when always on display is activated and phone stays a few minutes most of the time it doesn t open either with fingerprint wither with the power button. if someoane doesn.t have that on can you try it? it is in security settings the last thing i think. Right now it is the 3rd time in warranty service.. they put a new soft on it but nothing changed. it is the 6gb ram version.

CONS: Very lousy display (grayish and low resolution), bad video recording, poor microphones and weak speaker, battery draining, lousy EMUI, no 3.5mm jack, "washed" photos, same boring design, etc... PROS: Cheaper than others, fast CPU, should remember your daily preferences for faster operating, Leica. Not the best phone of the 2017 , but pretty close this time to big players.
