No. If you set everything to automatic without battery saving mode, the Mate 20 Pro will run as Huawei designed it.

@@uniqhnd23 You're missing my point though I think... In terms of ram management and what happens with background apps, Huawei has it's battery saving methods... So sometimes apps get closed in the background by default to improve battery life. But if you change the "manage manually" setting, apps won't close unless you close them. That's my point. It's not like the phone is incapable of good ram management, the settings just have to be tweaked if you want those background apps to run at the expense of better battery life.

Either way, I think Android itself will close background apps once it reaches a certain ram limit. So all apps being opened isn't possible I think.

So I don't agree that this "option" should be kept secret.

No guys, actually it's the npu that decides whether it's a game or not. So huawei processors like kirin 970 and 980 judge the app and then decide, coz, if u see in real life, restarting a game is a hefty task, so it keeps it running in the background, while normal apps can be refreshed in a snap.

shahreif taylor Apple does it to increase the longevity of your phone. It’s impossible for a phone to run as smooth as it is on the first day, the battery capacity reduces as the time goes on. After a few years, it wouldn’t be able to handle performances like Day 1. The speed is gradually reduced to lower the performance of the phone so as to increase its longevity. It isn’t ‘cause Apple wants your phone to stop working as they want you to buy a new one. That’s stupid ‘cause then people wouldn’t buy new Apple products as they stop working so quick. Apple wants you to invest in their ecosystem. One of the main selling points of Apple is the longevity of their phones which Chinese brands like Huawei cannot offer as their phones stop working after 2-3 years.

Don't forget that the A11(which is faster than sd845) in antutu scores close to sd835. Don't trust benchmarks, it's just an overclocker's tool but companies use it as promotion and hack the results because stupid people believes them. There is no benchmark program for pure hardware, all depends from software too.

Two great phones here. Although apple biased tech you tubers keep blabbing on how the a12 chip smashes all android phones. And tbh on paper it does. HOWEVER!!! this video has clearly shown that that raw power doesn't equate to real life scenarios. The best of iPhone has just got owned by the mate 20 pro as clear as day. Huawei have also sorted out their memory issues. What is the point of having all that raw power if your not going to optimise everything else to work well with it. Thats like buying a ferrari but only driving ot at 30mph. Apple owned!!!!

It was a good video but last 2 comparisons you went wrong. 1. The loading of applications and games which are paused are two different domains, Huawei is using AI to check the application nature dynamically and Apple is static there "Netflix, Amazon" etc. 2. The Huawei camera was toward shinning light but I took few party photos in my company party. They were outstanding, even I don't know my colleague took it and then she was wow, then I realised my phone value after few of my colleagues comments about those photos. That's why I am here to see Huawei from other people prospect.

Mate 20 Pro obviously takes the cake. I do love Apple since they've come so far since Steve Jobs died but the prices are just unbelievable. Huawei hit 2nd in selling this year and Apple went down to 3rd, no wonder! Huawei is just more affordable for more battery life, better camera and just simply faster. The speakers on iPhone are still really good though. Back in the day, I was always an Apple fan and I'm not really sure if I enjoy them much anymore. Just not my favourites.

YOU FORGOT TO MENTION... The multitasking is better on Huawei 😑😑 but it depends on the apps, you can configure it... you can have 2 apps opened at the same time with the screen split in 2... it does better job with the notch using every app/games and the camera video is even more SHARP and better lighting... Also you can make the screen light even brighter in a specific option in settings.... This phone have so many options you can't imagine, YOU CAN DO LIGHT PAINTING and so many weird stuff with out downloading an app.... Im sorry, I got exited, this phone is awesome....
