Huawei Mate 60 Pro (🇨🇳) - HarmonyOS Update allows GMS (kind of)

The latest #HarmonyOS 4.0.0.162 update also features spoofing support which allows you to install microG from the chinese AppGallery or officiall website to use Google Play Services natively on your Mate 60 Pro.
In this video I show you how it looks like and what kind of limitations you will encounter.

Huawei wasn't any threat to the US security things, it was actually a great threat to the Companies like Samsung and Apple. We remember in 2016-18 Huawei was able to do wonders in the camera department, like giving 5-10X optical zoom with great hardware.

Huawei was honestly the best in the industry. I have a P40 Pro without GMS but I am starting to experience issues. I'm moving to Honor because it's integrated and has a similar Huawei feel. My P40 Pro is 4 years old and it's 5x zoom lens is just as good as the brand new iPhone 15 pro max. It shows how far ahead Huawei was. Even my 6 year old mate 20 Pro had reverse wireless charging and its cameras still take unbelievable photos. It had nothing to do with security. It was about how much better and further they were than Apple and Samsung. In 2019, they overtook apple and were about to overtake Samsung. Everyone knows the US doesn't like successful Chinese companies. Just like how they want to ban TikTok as well now. Because Huawei gained so much popularity and was about to be the best selling phones ever, for the US that meant less Samsung and Apple phones they could use to control and spy or monitor people. The Chinese didn't let the US control it so they banned it. It wasn't about Huawei spying but about the US losing control by more people having Huawei. It frustrates me so much because I took out 2 contracts to get the newest Huawei every year now I'm still using my P40 Pro 4 years later because there was absolutely nothing worthy to replace it. The Mate 60 pro isn't even a global device now. So incredibly sad.

This is cool, but I don't understand how this fits into Huawei's roadmap with HarmonyOS Next, where APKs (and hence Google Apps) won't be supported at all? Like, why would they implement spoofing support semi-officially then .. Or will HarmonyOS Next run classic APKs after all, questions and more questions :D

HarmonyOS Next probably only for China and EMUI 14 with AOSP global. Maybe HarmonyOS 4 with AOSP will live also a bit longer. They are recruiting for a new Beta for it.

HarmonyOS is for China. China wants to replace all American tech inside china, including Android. There are no google services or google apps at all in china. No youtube instead they have bilibili, no Gmail. instead they have QQ mail, no google Maps, Instead, they have Tencent maps, Baidu maps and gaode maps, etc. So the chinese people are not attached to google services and apps like people outside China. HarmonyOS Next is meant to replace android in china Outside China, they,ll likely continue to use EMUI as google services are essential outside China.

Private Space is a feature of the device that lets you have a temporary user account that you open up with another pin code or biometric feature. This one switches then to the default system settings. For my chinese device that would be the store not logged in and being configured for the china region.

I have the huawei mate 50 pro and ive successfully installed GMS natively apks, except for google playstore and android auto. The trick is install first the stable version of microG, then install the latest version of microG. in that way, all spoofing in the Self check will be checked and it most google apps will work

I was able to install Davx that I bought on the Play Store. Aurora Store was able to install it. So you have to buy it via Play Store and can install it via Aurora Store

HarmonyOS 4 runs fine. Not sure whats wrong on your Nova 9. P60 Pro and EMUI 13.1 works as well with this.
