2:42 Plastic type 7 means "Other resin" - which is a group of plastics that are "difficult to recycle", and are almost never recycled. The arrow loop doesn't mean it's recyclable, it just specifies which type of plastic it is. The higher the number, the more difficult it is to recycle. Usually plastics 3 and up are too difficult to recycle for most companies to care about them and they either end up in landfills or are burned for energy.

The adhesive slicer for the battery might not be a slicer. On my pixel 6a I just used it to lift the battery up and it worked. Take the plastic strip as high as you can and try to lift up the battery a bit Then take it to the lower end in both the ends of the strip and try lifting up the battery

It kills me that they still ruin the screens on folding phones for pointless selfie cameras. Surely if I want to take a selfie (I don't), the best option would be to fold the phone open, then use the rear camera and front screen that are now next to it to take a selfie using the highest quality camera on the phone. Why are they still ruining screens to make room for potato quality selfie cameras? Just stop. A screen with no cutouts would be an innovative new idea for modern phones (as would headphone jacks, expandable storage, and removable batteries - basically undoing all of the Apple led mistakes of the past decade or so) and yet they keep missing the obvious opportunity to do it.

Yeah, in the real world no one is going to be throwing clumps of dust, sand, debris all over the phone, holding a lighter to the screen, dragging a blade across the phone. Not Samsung or any other normal device would hold up under these conditions. Also I have had the Z fold 6 personally for about a month and with new tempered glass it’s covered in scratches on the cover screen. Thats just with normal everyday use. Pixel fold should be in Monday so I’ll see how that holds up.

I’ve been watching you ever since you showed us why Note 7 exploded, and I really like your content and you actually inspired me to learn how to repair tech, at first I couldn’t do anything, now I can easily repair and disassemble small tech like old iPhones and console controllers (which probably isn’t much but hey, small steps count right) and I’ve been watching some iPhone 16 pro videos and noticed something strange about the new “camera button” it’s semi-capacitive and looks awfully similar to iPad’s Touch ID button. And considering the fact that there are some instances when apple implements some hardware changes only to activate them via software later down the line, so I’m curious whether this new button has some fingerprint scanning tech inside.
