Thanks! Possibly, but even by hand its doable, just a lot of caution and heat/isopropyl alcohol is needed to carefully pry it off. Even though I was careful, at one point I accidentally inserted the pry pick too far in which probably damaged the cable on the bottom where it attaches to the screen. Regardless, the adhesive is extremely strong and it also has a type of cured glue which makes a rubber seal around the screen to keep water out and that also adds to the strength of the bond.

Yes, it's subpar. regradless of who made the chip, it doesn't hide the fact that their chip is 5 years old technology. This phone is trash compared to the world standard. The phone has overheating issue, there's been reports of the satellite call feature being a gimmick, and it has always on camera rear and front which is a huge privacy breach.

Yes, the teardown appears to be in reverse for Huawei engineers to take this route. I wonder if the higher-ups, the Huawei CEOs, deliberately made this decision after observing outdated obsolescent designs in the latest iPhone. The right to repair in this P60 model seems to be less considerate. 🙄

So many thermal pads, pastes and metal covers also a large vapor chamber below the screen indicate that this phone runs pretty hot. Not a good sign. Also how do you broke that display while the flex cable is in the middle? Not a good repairable phone IMO. This just as bad as Apple with their software lock.

The cable connector is there, but the flex cable which actually attaches to the screen is from the bottom rim of the screen and glass. So running a pry tool there poses a high chance of damaging it.

@@privacyhelp yes! EXACTLY MY POINT! Super car is not easily repairable. It needs specialized mechanics and tools. While you can find mechanics that can easily repair your Toyota Land Cruiser even in the deep of Sahara desert.

Not sure it will be, there are sanctions placed against Huawei so they can't sell them in a lot of places. Your best bet would be ebay or something similar.

Each section of the grading comes into count for the total score. So just because the overall rating is lower, doesn't mean its more difficult to repair teardown or disassembly wise. For example, it might be the easiest phone to take apart, but if there are no parts available for it and finding parts is impossible, then how would you repair it? so it would drop in score. That's why the score is broken down to give you the reasons of the overall score.
