i switched from iphone to v20 three months ago and i love it. cant see myself going back. and im not sure where the lag complaints are coming from. i had an issue ONCE where the phone was uncharacteristically laggy but it stopped after i restarted. then again, i only use a dozen or so apps regularly.

Ratchet you use it for awhile you will see just play a high graphic game, not only that camera is mediocre and DAC is mediocre. but it has a nice feel and if it wasn't so expensive those flaws could be overlooked but..

who would sell it for that price, the cheapest you can find this phone is from Verizon for about $700. if you got it for $500 lucky you but most are paying between 700-800 and for that price it's more expensive than iPhone, samsung, HTC and they all have better cameras even v20 sibling the LG g5 has a better camera, I think mediocre is the correct word, the DAC is a nice feature but there is static in it when playing through my stereo speakers, there is a whole forum about it. the screen is nice even though it's not amoled but the lag from big apps and 3d games is atrocious. you have to scout through all the fan boy reviews they will tell you nothing but positive but no negatives

JjAllDay www.ebay.com/itm/322397668394 brand new verizon for 535 and you can get used unlocked for 400. probably not a good thing that its cheap already but i will tell you i love the phone for what i use it for. the ir blaster for my tv, the removal battery with an extra battery + charging dock means i dont have to wait for it to charge, the screen is big and resolution is very crisp. the camera controls are insane you cant tell me its mediocre. its got a wide angle lense on ths front and rear. 16mp shooter with Optic Image Stabilization and 1.8" aperture is mediocre? i dont think we are talking about the same phone. but ill take your opinion with a grain of salt and you can do the same for me.

Ratchet I'm referring to the ppl who purchased this at launch for 700-800 dollars like myself, the price drop with only being a couple months in is understandable, everyone that is not in denial or see a ir blaster or 6th place camera quaility out of all the 6 2016 flagship phones being alright with them then this is a steal.. actually at the 500 dollar price it's pretty well placed.. it's still a great phone but for a phone that came out so late, it's seen all the competition and fails in every category, except it will record you good sound

I'm surprised you didn't go with the Mate 9 Pro. Beautiful phone, similar to the S7 edge. Both Mate 9 have one of the best cameras in the market right now, specially for stills. On the side note, still rocking the V20, super smooth, no lags, no hiccups. Still got my Note 7, aka Fireball, working and charging to 100%, we'll see how that goes over time.

My V20 runs 24/7 on Verizon LTE Advanced for work and play. I use 30 GB per month. I cycle two batteries so I'm not using the same one two days in a row. VERDICT: V20... HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER. Android 7.0 Nougat alone is the smoothest since my first Motorola Droid. I'm sure the Pixel is zippier but no SD card or removable battery.. not interested. For the V20 running smooth The key for me is that I dump apps that are not in my top 10 rotation. I reboot minimum once a day when I cycle in the second battery which keeps everything fresh. I don't use wireless charging which heats up the phone the more coils the charger has. I avoid Facebook app in particular. I've got a Samsung 256 SD card which means crazy room for KZbin downloads with my Red subscription. Downloads with Netflix (check out Bronson with Tom Hardy) and Amazon Instant Video as well. Heads up... LG is giving out a *FREE 200 GB SD card* if you buy the phone unlocked on their website. That's 264 GB of storage for the price of a 32 GB iPhone 7 or S7 Edge or Pixel XL. And you get a Quad DAC for your high end V-Moda M100 or Audio Technica ATH M50x headphones and the Quad HD display.

O. 23​​ if I use it like 99.9% of the public uses a phone: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Gmail, KZbin listen to some music, with no more than 4gb of data per month then I don't do any of the extra stuff. But my proprietary apps from work alone chew up massive data and battery life before all my media consumption which has me streaming CNBC and Bloomberg financial news from early morning to late evening. I used to have to carry a laptop and a tablet to do all this which the V20 with an extra battery does all by itself now. Getting Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box was a HUGE get for LG. And the 316 GB of total storage with the Samsung 256 micro SD means I can download tons of content when I'm in WiFi and just watch it later on the plane without having to deal with the airlines overpriced jacked up wifi. NOUGAT IS the first Android OS that is hands down smoother than the latest iOS.

superpiff420​​​ the V20 might be the last phone with a removable battery that also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 I have a feeling LG might cave into the trend to make phones waterproof and get rid of removable battery. Which would be a disaster after the shitstorm Samsung went through with exploding batteries. If those batteries had been removable they would have avoided a total recall of the entire $850 phone and instead just sent 2.5 million people a new $5 battery. *$12.5 million* mistake vs. a *$2.1 billion* mistake... They lost more money on that one phone because the battery wasn't removable than they made in profits for all their other phones for the entire year. Had Samsung not made money selling washing machines, kitchen appliances and heavy equipment, the Note 7 would have bankrupted a huge company of the size of Samsung Electronics division.

for the camera, use the leica model over standard model, remember set the effect to 'smooth' over 'vivid' and 'standard'. it will generally give you good picture especially at night. But to unleash the full power of this camera you need to learn how to use it manually, good job mate.
