A tip for the fingerprint sensor when turning it on is to hold your finger there for like 1 to 2 secs then it will load you in. If you tap it quickly it doesn't work you need to hold it for atleast a second.

I purchased this laptop 6 months ago based on your review. Indeed it is a brilliant machine and I have enjoyed it so far. Especially the keyboard. There is something special about it that makes typing much faster that my Macbook Air. I am now looking for a 27'' monitor to use with this laptop. Because I was not sure if the usbc port supports display towards the monitor and power from the monitor at the same time I decided to contact Huawei support. They informed me that I can't make use of the usb port for both power and display. The even told me to buy a Matedock (😂). Then I watched again your review and found out that they probably dont know what they are talking about. I can see from your review that it works just fine. Thanks for that. @@ICTechProductionsI think it is a brilliant laptop for home use. The aspect ratio and the qhd resolution provides enough space to work on. Battery is ok. Thanks for the review, i would like to explain the difference between performance and balanced modes, the CPU draw 40-42 Watts of power in both modes, however it drops to 35 watts after 10 minutes in balance mode while in performance mode it can be sustained at 42 watts. Try to run the R23 benchmark for 30 minutes and you will see the difference in results. When it comes to CPU temperature it's obvious that 108 is not ideal temperature for the laptop to work at, it's short spikes i believe and average temperature will be in the range of 90 ?!
@w2best3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input! I will def. do this in a more full on benchmark and CPU test video. I wanted to not include as much benchmark stuff here as the video would have been 45 mins then :P Very greatful for the input!

I purchased the Ryzen 7. 16/512 for 780 euros a few days ago and it is a superb little computer for the money and very fast, the only thing I have noticed is it is giving me headaches !!. Has anyone else had this using this kind of screen?. It could be the glossy screen or the IPS having an effect. As a side note Windows 11 is working fine on my model.
@w2best3 жыл бұрын
Is that on lower brightness levels? I never noticed that during the 2 months i used this. But that doesn't sound very good.
@spanishpropertyconsultants3 жыл бұрын
@@w2best Yes that is on about 50% but I have now just found the blue eye saver screen so that helps while working on office documents. I have also been reading about IPS displays and it does effect quite a lot of people although it seems no one has fully investigated different screens and the real problems they can cause people. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Sir... i just bought this laptop yesterday due to yr review. I noticed today that while charging the laptop gets hot to the extent that the fans run guite loud. The heat is especially noticeable on the left palm rest and keyboard area. Do you have this kind of issue?

@@w2best That’s why I bought it yesterday because of your high quality feel comment. You say it like you mean it. 😂 Seriously though it’s really nice and I’ve had MacBooks before and it’s up there. Hej! Thanks for the review. I liked the video as I saw it! Should a person who isn't in a hurry about buying a new laptop wait for Ryzen 5000 CPUs? I ain't need a PC right now but definitely considering to replace my current one. What do you suggest about new generation CPUs, for both Intel and AMD and even M1?
@w2best3 жыл бұрын
I think if you're not in a hurry you should def. wait for the next gen. Maybe the performance upgrade isn't huge, but it's just nice to future proof. M1 is amazing value but can't run 2 external screens which for me is a deal breaker. Intel 11th gen is great too. I need to test an i7 to see how it compares to i5 but the performance to price to heating ratio on my 1135g7 has been great. So it's a hard choice to make at this point!

I have a question about fan noise and temperatures. I bought the same configuration week ago and now I'm struggling with the noise of the fans. Fans are turning on on idle, when watching youtube, during teams conversation. Usage of CPU is always around 5% which is very low, the processor consumes less than 5W of power and the temp is around 37 degrees. It is very annoying that fans are blowing all the time even if it feirly cold. Do you have the same issue?
@w2best3 жыл бұрын
I have almost the oppsite issue. The fans never turn on even when I believe they should. When stress testing and the cpu hits 108 degrees you hear the fans - but not much. I really feel like it should be spinning more at that point. I didn't have any issues from start either - so it's not due to upgrades of firmware. It's very strange you have that issue!

I agree that they are a bit worrying but since i basically never max the laptop out like in a stress test I'm not so worried. The CPU should be specd to hold 105 degrees. I feel like there should be a way to keep it below that

excellent content. i'm a big huawei fan (last 3 consecutive cellphones)...but will skip this laptop model. online camera & mic is 40% of my work day (nice privacy flip-up concept, but absolutely terrible placement...nostril-view...ha ha)...& the microphone sounded like the old 'piece of string with 2 tin cans' from my childhood? i think they are still learning...it's still early days for them with laptops...so i will try the next version in a couple of years with minimum 2 x usb-c & without the other issues you highlighted. i am a bit sad...but can now better make my decision for april on my other 3 finalists: lenovo flex, acer spin or HP envy...(funny thing, all 14 inch 2-in-1's? & the best-looking one right [both specs/performance & aesthetically pleasing] now combines 2 of my least favourite tech brands: HP & Intel...oh well?) unless of course there is no stock of the others on the day...& i can convince the store to throw in a free 1080P (non usb-c) webcam? it's different here in africa, man. keep up the great work...going to quickly search for your flex review i saw a while ago...& what i can find on the other 2. 👊🏻
