They have the same processors but the Mate 20 pro uses Leica cameras and it is Huawei's flagship so if you like photography you might consider that.

I bought the two phones and I have 30 days to return them so I'm testing them everyday. It's been 2 weeks and from what I noticed. Nova 5t is faster in performance a tiny bit more and is lighter in weight, but the camera is not as good as mate 20 pro. That's the only issue for me. And I'm looking for the best in cam. So huawei 20 pro is my winner.!
