The new Huawei P30 Pro's camera is nuts. With the crazy telephoto lens, RYB sensor to capture more light, and the four different sensors on the back, could it be the new low-light photo phone?

thats what ive been saying. The hype around this phone is so blown out its incredible. In the times when you'd actually take a photo ive never once felt like the P30 was miles better than the other 3. Its either been as good or worse than the other 3. Where it blows the other 3 out the water is NO light, not low light (Night sight creates just as good from the pixel 3). Then you gotta ask yourself, who even takes a photo with their lights turned off and no light situations.. the answer is very few if any people

Can anyone who has this phone answer a few questions? They might have been in this video, but I might have missed it, so sorry if any of it was touched upon. I know the camera is good in low lights etc, but how does it do with moving objects such as kids in low light? I am still using my Nexus 6p and have noticed a lot of photos I'm getting of my daughter are blurred. So a lot of times I'm like "Aww, that would have been a nice photo if it didn't blur". Also, how does it do with the speed in which it takes the photos? Does it take awhile to snap the photo and then take ages to process or is it pretty snappy? My nexus 6p is pretty laggy taking photos, and so is my husbands Pixel 2. Any info would be great because I'm torn between getting the p30 pro or just keeping my nexus 6p and buying a camera.

@@souvikc734 I actually think that the S10+ beats the P30 Pro in low light. The colours all look white on the P30 Pro. For example: look at the night streets pics. The street lights are yellow, yet the P30 Pro makes them white. Next example, sharpness: take the bed lowlight picture. Look at the pillow. Which one is sharper, S10 or P30 Pro. The P30 Pro might be better in complete darkness, but who uses that? S10+ is the winner for me.

@@BlackParade01 Honestly S10 is not really that good in low light. While I'm not a huge fan of P30 Pro's tendency to use clarity more than necessary, S10's super aggressive noise reduction and poor lens quality is surely the losing combo here. Hardware choice is clearly inferior to Huawei and software is nowhere near as good as Google's Night Sight, nor the output is as neutral as iPhone's images. Exynos variant of S10 apparently has worse HDR as well, though I have to admit that the video and the audio quality have been very good on Samsung phones. And remember, P30 Pro is running on a pre-release software... Huawei phones are known for getting its camera quality and battery life improved over a few software updates.

Nice video.... I liked it.... One thing in night mode you can put ISO to 100 and shutter speed auto... much batter result can be taken... I am honor use and it can take good pics but unfortunately I don't have that much to buy this phone to test.. but I am sure that night mode can do batter with a little trick.

RAW photos from P30 PRO in good light have insane detail including 5x zoom camera lens compared to JPEG, better dynamic range, etc... It's so easy to take those and develop them in Lightroom Mobile :)

So you're telling me the only part where the P30 excels is when you turn the lights off completely when NO ONE in the world takes a photo apart from maybe people doing long exposures for the night sky? Seems really overhyped to me. It was either the worst or middle of the pack but never the clear outright best in any of the times that you'd actually take a photo. Am i the only one noticing that?

Daylight photos and videos: S10+ Darkness and zoom: P30 Pro Also slow motion is better in S10+ than P30 Pro. I think I would go with S10+.

1080 display is good enough, and "Optical" means the lens is stabilized so it doesn't matter if user is taking photo or video, it is stabilized.

​@@jaafaralhayki4494 I can, because I have been making videos on Smartphones for over 2 years now, used them with Gimbal, handheld, used all techniques and so on, different phones and what not! Various situations so yes I can. And let me tell you that even Gimbals cannot clean handshakes completely. You still have to put some efforts to get things smooth. It also depends on the size of Gimbal, and by Gimbal I meant the size of mechanism, either mechanical or motor-based. And that's the reason you would see not 100% smooth floating shots on Osmo Pocket, Compare to that, Optical IS are far smaller than Osmo Pocket, so yes it reduces shaking but to a limit. And then the software kicks in to iron things further. So whenever you walk normal with a set in hand carelessly, like a normal user would do, you would see some of the shaky effects.

There is definitely that yellow tinge to the pictures with this new sensor... This is due to Whitewell replacing the RGB sub-pixel arrangement and removing green and inserting yellow..

@@supertigerman013 not at all. The P-series is all about photography, yet the camera is heavily downgraded on the P30. It also doesn't support wireless charging and PowerShare. The only downgrades the S10e has, is the display (and it misses the tele lens). Yet the P30 costs more than the S10e.

S10E has advantages in areas you mentioned above, but considering that you get better performance, cameras and battery life (and also the charging speed) on P30, it is very competitively and reasonably priced IMO. By the way S10E gets smaller battery compared to its more expensive siblings.

And yes, the S10e has a smaller battery than the S10, but the phone itself is also smaller and the display resolution is lower, resulting in the same batterylife as the regular S10.
