Got a P20, not due an upgrade for a year, dunno if it's worth taking an extra line for the P30 or just wait to upgrade to the P40 next year. From what I saw in the vid, the P30 does definitely improve on some of the P20's aspects but the P20 still runs nice and mine has Android Pie too so not sure if it's worth "spunking" the extra outlay 🤣

Nothing compares to physical sensor which is the control panel as well. The greates feature in P10 and P20 so far.

Regarding text messages, my P20 often gives me an error message saying "too many unsent messages sent" when I try to sent a picture. It's very time consuming going through all my text messages to see what picture was never sent and often after going through my entire phone, I cannot find any unsent messages. Has this issue been corrected or improved in the P30. Meaning, is there an easier way to find unsent messages or will it let you send pictures even though some pictures were not sent? Thanks

I have the P20 and I'm definitely tempted to upgrade to the P30... but that price! I can get £200 for my P20 bringing the P30 down to £499... but I just don't think the P30 is quite worth it. An interesting fact is that 'IPX3' doesn't constitute a splash proof device, although devices carrying IPX3 resistance are marketed as such. IPX4 would constitute a splash proof device, IPX3 is essentially 'spray proof'... which I don't think is really acceptable for a device costing £699, especially given that Huawei's warranty for its IPX3 rated devices doesn't cover water damage.

My justification for not getting p30 is the lack of OIS on the main lens. For a 700 eur phone it ought to have OIS. I'll either keep my P20 or I'll get the P30 pro, it's really hard to decide

@@fdrico9889 Yeah, that disappointed me too, also it's unbelievable that the 980 still can't do 4k/60fps given that it was a huge complaint that people had with the 970. I'm looking at the P30 Pro too.

@@antiduckable The lack of 4k60 is pathetic. I noticed that the EIS is just as bad in low light as it was on P20, you can clearly see electronic jitters. I also looked at some full resolution P30 pro samples pics from photographyblog.I am not too impressed with the ultrawide lens, to say the truth. Most of the ultra wide pictures look desaturated and devoid of details unless you view them at 25-30%. The telephoto lens certainly looks good at 5x and 10x is usable too. Overall, I think I'll wait for mate 30 pro or even P40 pro

@@fdrico9889 Good call. Think I'll skip this generation too and wait for the Kirin 990 devices (or at least wait until the P30 drastically drops in price). Glad I'm not the only one that noticed that low light photography on the P20 was crap! I'll have to check that blog out.

@@antiduckable I ended up getting P30 pro for 800. Whilst the zoom is great, it's worthless in low lit environment, the main camera has white balance issues but otherwise it's better than p20. As for the wide angle camera, it's nice but it suffers from chromatic abberation. All in all, I should have skipped this generation
