Huawei Pura 70 sold out online in the first minute

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Huawei, the Chinese tech behemoth, began offering two models from its eagerly awaited, premium Pura 70 smartphone series. Many analysts predict that these models will feature an advanced chip made in China, similar to the one found in its Mate 60 device. The Pura series, crafted by the company based in Shenzhen, is recognized for its advanced cameras and elegant design, whereas the Mate series prioritizes performance and features suited for business use. Last year’s launch of Huawei’s Mate 60 series was hailed by the Chinese state media as a victory over U.S. sanctions imposed on the company. The handsets are equipped with an advanced chip manufactured in China, which is believed to be just a few generations behind the state-of-the-art chips utilized by Western tech powerhouses like Apple and Google in terms of computational capabilities.
Earlier this year, the Biden administration initiated a review of the chip and stated last month that SMIC might have violated U.S. export regulations, adding that it was still assessing the situation. Questions have arisen regarding whether SMIC unlawfully acquired U.S. tools to manufacture the chip. It is believed that SMIC is well-prepared for sanctions from the US and already have countermeasures to keep its operation going into the future. This is the problem with the hype.. it wilk die soon after you face the reality.. do you remember the hyoe about Google Tensor chip...? And it was a big shoot..? This chip even weaker like that phatetic chip.. im not said that it's not capable recently for the tasks, but after 1-2 updates and with a bit more demanding apps do you think this is still enough..? Since there are no big chances in the phones (since they have already almost everything, they are equal with a laptop in lot of cases..) most people just don't want to buy a new phone that frequently, and the 7 years of updates already on Android side too.. (Apple already surpassed that since the iPhone 6s from 2015 still got the iOS 15.8 security update few months ago..) so good luck to fool them to spend $1000 frequently, most people just fine if they get the new things with their OS updates for 4-5 or even for 7-8 years (just compare the iPhone yearly sales and the active amount of iPhone users.. you must add the phone sales from 7-8 years ago too to reach that number..)
