The most important feature of this new device/OS is the ability to share content instantly between your device. Imagine you just start navigation on your phone and put it away, the watch automatically starts to take over and navigate for you. Or you at the airport and the watch automatically displays the information of your flight time and board gate. The entire point of this new OS is that the information becomes the core, phone, watch, pad, pc are just different platforms for it to flow through.

@@ahmedabdelhamid8900 the problem with Lite OS, in about 2 years or how long it exists, Huawei has not developed it further. No progress at all. You could say the SpO2 has been the only new feature. I would say it's quite embarrassing for Huawei.

I watched the live event and huawei told that the harmony os can be used as a mode and the lite os will be like ultra power saving mode in GT2 with 14 days and smart mode will have 5 days battery life which is still alot considering all the new things we can do with it

Huawei is such a good brand I remember when I had the p20Pro was such a great phone. And the quality was on par with Apple. But unfortunately just couldn't do Huawei now as it doesn't have Google play store. It's a real shame because it definitely stopped me from buying one.

Just 1 small complaint. This is Huawei Watch 3. Not GT3. It's Huawei Watch 3, successor of the Huawei Watch series, not GT series of watches. Big difference here. The GT series are more fitness oriented / battery life type of watches, Watch series are more smart oriented watches. Huge difference. GT is not so smart but can easily endure 1 month without charging (the processor is simplier, not so power hungry).

The big one I want to know is can you interact with notifications. If I dismiss will they dismiss on the phone. So far I've seen little reason to upgrade from my 2 pro........ And I'm really looking for a reason. I can't see what it does extra in smartwatch mode that makes it take such a big battery hit.

If it’s 2 pro you are comparing, I’m telling ya, I would throw away my GT 2 pro for this one. It can work without the phone next to it!! It has eSIM service, which means it can do phone calls and get internet service without the phone. And it has it’s own app store and everything... Go check out the full launch. I love it.

@@carbomania8786 @Carbomania I saw that. I personally rarely don't have my phone on me. So the e SIM thing isn't a make it break for me. Plus if you can't reply to messages. You can't say it's independent from your phone. And as far as the app store goes it will most likely be as empty as the apps you can get on the gt2 pro for now. I don't see why it drains so much more battery then the 2 pro while it's connected to the phone. I would get it in stand alone mode. I've watched the event they did and was impressed but then KZbin reviews made it not seem that big of an upgrade. The UI seemed similar. I got a half baked assistant , couple new sensors and a big battery loss. And still the notifications stay on the watch and can't be marked as read ect. . What am I missing?

Good review man, can you please transfer music to it, connect it with high quality TWS or Bluetooth headphones and let us know the music quality you get ? I have Honor Magic 2 and find out that Bluetooth music quality is better when streamed from my phone than my watch. Thanks

Just bought GT2 Pro two months ago. Watch 3 has all features I like: ceramic back, titanium body, sapphire glass, wireless charger, eSIM, HM OS.... The battery life is indeed shorter than GT2, but still longer than SAMSUNG Galaxy 3 (2days). If you shut down eSIM, the functions are similar with GT2 Pro and the battery life is 2 weeks. Watch 3 has 10GB memory while GT2 has only 4 GB. I regret buying GT2 Pro.

@@SuperRider-RS You should check out the oppo watch! I think it's the closest you can get to an apple watch on android. The design looks premium (though it's clearly copying apple), and the ColorOS skin over Android wear is really snappy and smooth! Only downside is that it's a year old now, so oppo might release a new watch soon

I have a Watch GT 2e. From what i can tell, the new HarmonyOS looks like a pretty refined version of the OS that my watch runs, which i like. On top of that, the 2 series watches are gonna receive the HarmonyOS update in the future too, so I'm excited for it.

@Yee Nope GT2 looks better than this easy. I got mine in the classic and use it with the black band , so has a silver and black look. This looks to chunky and has no defined sections. GT2 Pro again was not different enough to bother with. GT2 is sleeker and looks more like a watch then a smart watch.

Owner of the Watch 3 PRO, and it is connected to a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. All is well, however weather app is not showing on the watch. At 1st I thought the watch had a problem so I took it back and replaced. Same problem. Previous watch was the GT2, no problems whatsoever. Any ideas why weather not working on the watch? (living in Greece, spoke with Huawei and few others in tech support)

Does it duplicate steps from watch and phone in the Huawei Health app if you are using both devices at the same time? I carry phone and watch often and it shows combined steps in the Huawei Health app thus messing up my tracking.

I see very little reason to change my gt2 pro for this... there doesn't seem to be anything new added apart from eSim and skin temperature. I'd rather have the longer battery life... Gt2 pro also has access to that same (rubbish) app store Womder if they've sorted out the Bluetooth priority issues with the new one?
