This watch saved my life. After a heart attack, I would occasionally get tired of my healthy eating and would binge on chocolate and ice cream. Some kind of ECG runs in the background without your awareness. It started alerting me with multiple warnings of risk of premature heart beats. I immediately had the warnings verified with ECG in my doctor’s office. Thank you Huawei.

Today I bought the GT4 (Brown edition).... what a beautiful watch. It did one thing I was missing on my other watches: my data is synchronised: in the morning I walked 10.000 steps, using my GT3SE. Then I went to the shop, bought the GT4 and connected it to my phone. It took over the amount of steps I did with the GT3SE. The GT3SE never took the data from my phone...

Just to uncomplicated things, I believe the Green and Brown version is the exact same watch but with different bands, I mean they are both polished steel cases which to me look 100% better than the Gray dull metal band version with the gray/dirty looking metal band and overall finish. I have several high-end automatic/mechanical watches in my collection and none are dull/dirty gray like that; it puzzles me why they chose that finish for an otherwise classy looking watch. I'd buy it right away if it had a traditional polished/shiny finish, but unfortunately that's not an option.

I use Huawei smart watches already over four years. My latest is the GT3 SE. It is a great watch, but well.... the Pro would be better and I nearly regret to have bought that one. Maybe the GT4 will be a next watch. The watches look absolutely great. At least I'm thinking of buying a smaller model for my wife.

I've been on the Garmin eco system since 2016 with the vivoactive HR, and now my fenix 5 is just tired and the HRM doesn't work correctly a lot of the time, plus the screen sux so much when someone asks me the time in a nightclub it's just embarrassing how long it takes to light up and squint to see the display. Been looking at these GT3/4 comparison videos and i must say i'm so impressed i'm going to jump across to Huawei. My budget/choice was either the Venu 2 or Vivoactive 5 but they just don't compare to even the GT3 let along the GT4 watches from what i've seen. So there. Huawei has a new customer.

Made the jump and love the GT4 in terms of style/functionality (mostly)/features/UI. Only thing is the gym workout function sux so i wear my garmin to track my volume whilst lifting oher than that it's a great watch. Love the ease of switching watch faces to suit and there are a lot of great free ones available on Huawei app store

I had the GT2 pro with so many free watch faces but i recently got the GT4 watch and now this option is gone, when i go to the app on my phone and check the watch faces nothing comes up, I can only see the paid faces and there isnt an option for free, why is this? how can it be fixed?

I read it has 600 nit brightness so I assume judging by that it is not good under direct sunlight when viewing your watch to tell the time or other stuff compare to the galaxy 6 classic which come with 2k nit brightness and good under direct sunlight. How is the software and apps on the watch since it still has the NA ban and it doesn't have google service. Where is on to download the app from too if one was to buy one of those watch? Edit: is it accurate compare to the Samsung and apple watch when it comes to counting steps when walking outside, heart rate, blood pleasure and measuring stress? Also, you didn't mention if the watch has sapphire crystal or if it is tempered glass.

Huawei uses "stress" tracking which is kinda HRV tracking. You get better stress scores if you're recovered and calm.

Notifications can be replied by seting auto replies and also emoticons are availabe! You can not send audio messages while watch 4 Pro does. I believe you can have a fully calendar, doesn't it? Thanks anyway

I just about noticed there is reference to Lactate Threshold, and I will assume no Heart Rate Variability either as with eg the Garmin Forerunner 2 Series. Still a great overview.

Yeah anything sports oriented will beat Huawei I have to Coros Vertix series and it gets 60 days of battery. However, it's not a smartwatch and can't even use the touchscreen for all the functionality only in Maps and other because that's they way it was designed.

Yeah, you can watch KZbin videos on it, and can do só many stuff what is impressive from a watch but totally nobody use in real life, and you have to charge it day by day. At Huawei, the real copmetitor of the Apple watch is the Huawei Watch series, not the GT.

You can choose the Huawei Watch D to measure blood pressure, ECG and others but there is no barometer feature. While the Huawei Watch GT3 Pro has a barometer and ECG feature, it does not have a blood pressure sensor. As far as I know, all Huawei smartwatches do not have a blood sugar level measuring feature. My advice, if you exercise regularly then you can choose the Huawei GT3 Pro, and if you don't exercise much but want to monitor your body condition you can choose the Huawei Watch D, and you can also buy the Huawei Smart Weight Scale which you can then monitor your weight your body, water content and body protein via the Huawei Health application.

@HDgaming345 some good advice from @DulIllah. The watch 4 has high glucose monitoring but only if it hits a certain level so it may not be fully developed. Watch 4 also has ECG. I am waiting for the watch gt 4 pro to release. This should happen even if it is not announced. That watch should have ECG. Blood pressure is important and I have no idea why Huawei only has it in the Chinese versions of the watch. Must be health approval in other countries.

@HDgaming345 the OS is the latest. Not sure about anything else. For me it boils down to the design. I like the design of the gt4. The gt3 pro shape is a bit more subtle. If there is a good deal, I might consider it.

Waiting for the ability to delete “nap” times that are automatically added to sleep score in the app making the sleep data wrong / unreliable. Watching TV or meditating are not napping and should not be automatically added to sleep score without the ability to delete / correct. A simple delete option to remove these wrong naps times is needed otherwise all the sleep scores / trends is useless and in inaccurate.

Just bought the silver Gt4 in Portugal while on vacation, have an iPhone 10 and live in the USA, half the tabs you showed in the app do not exist, 5 or 6 faces available only, no watch face page where you can upload or buy faces, important feature like sleep breathing monitor is not available, cannot upload music unless you are on the android platform, still like the watch but it’s clear it was designed for android and to be utilized in Europe … why would features likes sleep breathing be omitted for the US?
