I gave my Apple Watch to my daughter and bought myself Huawei GT4. The battery life blows me away. .Also,I personally like the shape as well. Feel masculine and timeless. Other functiionalities are more or less the same with other smart watches. Also worth mentioning, it doesn't force you to use Huawei phone. You can pair it with iPhone or Android just fine

@@joem1670 Yes it can! Works with AppleMusic, Spotify, KZbin music as well. From the watch home screen, swipe to the right and you'll see Smart Assistance screen. You can control the music from there just like with Apple Watch

Really nice overview! I have this watch and very much endorse those key features. One point I'd like to touch on through - a heart rate of 72bpm isn't particularly high (perhaps it may be for you). But a normal resting heart rate would be between 60-90 bpm - meaning 72bpm would be right in the sweet spot for normal range. Would hate for viewers to think this would be 'abnormally high' in the general population (stair run or otherwise). Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment. No it was a little high for me I ride a lot and normally have a very low resting heart rate. But yes it's all normal range.

No you have to start it manually, but it only takes a few seconds. Otherwise i think sitting in a car or bus it will think you're cycling maybe. So can't be done automatically.

This is nuts, I just ditched my Apple Watch 6 and picked up again my "old" GT2 Pro, because I got sick of paying 3rd party apps on top of the nearly 500 Euros I paid for that phone on my wrist. Apple basically outsourced all the decent health features to 3rd party developers, and they charge you annual fees. So I gave up and went with Huawei. Maybe at some point I will get the newer one, but even the GT2 Pro is still doing well!

Yes and not to mention the trash battery life Apple watches have. I'm glad some people see the value ion these watches I think they are great for anyway that doesn't need WearOS or NFC Payments in a watch. I certainly don't, calls and all the health tracking. I have my phone for Apps and Gpay etc.

@@Techtablets So the "No NFC" is a bit misleading. In Germany it works, but only through a service called Bluecode. It is sadly not available for a lot of stores. Only 3 store in a 15km radius around where I live support it (I live a bit rural though). Luckily my banking app has its own phone payment app, so I can at least use it on my non GMS phone. By the way: Is side loading apks still possible?

No you cannot transfer to watch. The only way you can do this is if you pair to an android phone first. If you stream you will have no issues.

And no wallet payment support in Canada .These are borderline gamebreakers (coming off the pixel watch 2 which was too small but actually could use a lot of features ie respond and type to notifications)....This lack of responses is a big miss for the GT4!

No the lowest was 48 when I was sleeping but normally mid 50s which is normal for me since I have been riding a lot. The accuracy is within 5 heart beats they clam.

I have both Samsung watch 5 and huawei watch gt4 and I can responsibly say that Samsung is better in everything, much better except for the battery. This is the only advantage of huawe and it is a big advantage because it irritates the daily charging of the battery.

100% the battery life is terrible with WearOS daily charging and even my Apple watch was the same but for me that is the key reason I stick swith Huawei, 9-10 day battery life and does all I need in a watch. I don't need to answer text messages or whatsapp on my watch. I have a phone for that, who wants to reply on such a tiny screen lol

I got the gt4 for almost a week, yes I can receive WhatsApp messages and phone calls, however, I have yet to receive a WhatsApp call. Replying to messages, you have certain standard replies that you can choose from, but not typing your own. I understand you can add some replies yourself from the Health App, buy again not tried.

I have gt2 pro but i also had the gt3 and gt3 sports edition but i had awful experience with the heartrate sensor it just would not rise above 151 on both watches and i could never find out why this was, so it would hold me back from getting the 4 unless i was certain the problem was fixed

Gt3 pro is having ECG and vascular stiffnes monitoring - these features are missing on series 4. Maybe later on its lifecycle will be enabled just like happened it to gt3 pro. Gt4 is having advanved sleep tracker, monitoring your breath also and calorie calculator as I remember. the materials.. Titan vs steel.
