Because all the matter is being condensed at the center. Once it reaches a certain point of density, the gravity from that point becomes strong enough to become a black hole. The whole galaxy is spinning around it. You can turn anything into a black hole if you squeeze it down to a certain density. A star. A planet. A soda can. etc.

Exactly the same WAY as the moon maintains its orbit around the earth. It's speed balances out its centrifigal force....and also just exactly the same as the earth maintains its orbit around the sun. Do you think we have to somehow put "fuel" in the earth to prevent it from falling into the sun? What you NEED to do some basic research on just how orbits actually work. BHE

Black holes are external magnetic fields spinning all external heat energy like a record player centrifugal force of magnetism spinning all external heat energy within and without entanglement of mass as internal magnetic fields ground currents through its core or nucleus. Heat passes through the filaments of atmospheres and light bulbs. Light bulbs get hot from heat passing through and bouncing off atmospheric gasses and mass as solidity unabsorbed heat energy striking mass lighting up. Electrons are sparks of striking resistance as renewable heat energy unabsorbed. Color of light is determined by heat waves of unabsorbed heat striking mass. Some heat energy singularities are absorbed and are not. Color is the degree of absorption. Theoretically factual probability that works with quantum physics as magnetism without gravity.

I would time travel. In OUR perspective it would seem frozen in time and slightly redshift as it slowly disappeared but to the ship they would be able to see the entire future of the universe play out until the end. The event horizon is a hologram. Beyond it space/time switches places. Within the singularity all matter is condensed into it's basic energetic form but the information is preserved. Eventually when there is nothing but blackholes remaining in space then the distance of the space will be neutralized as space requires matter to actually exist. Hence all the blackholes will instantly engulf each other. At this point all the energy that the universe has ever had since the very beginning of time will be squished together in an infinitely small singularity with all the information that has ever existed and then it will explode in something that is unimaginably powerful. Like every supernova that every happened before combined and multiplied. It will expell all that matter and the information it contained away from the center of the ultra nova. The quark gluon plasma will condense and form simple atoms which will be nuclearly attracted to others within proximity. Eventually as the atoms combine they will start to warp the fabric of the new space forming gravity again. This gravity will ignite new stars and the stars will attract other masses of matter into orbits around them. These masses will collide and form planets over billions of years. Eventually there will be new planets that forms that have the elements required for life and in a similar way as the atoms formed from the gun quark plasma new chemical structures will combine in reactions along with weather events and extremes in temperatures. This will give way to simple proteins forming then decaying again and again. With enough time and exposure to soace radiation and lightning evebtually the proteins will mutate into very simple proto-organisms with chemical reactions within them that resemble early life. Again over more millenia these will further mutate and react with each other and the environment to form the first simple cellular organisms with what we know as life. Those will again mutate and interact with each other until more and more complex life is formed. After a long enough time creatures resembling things we associate with sea life will form and begin to evolve and change in different ways. Then different groups with plant-like features will dominate and oxygenate the atmosphere for billions of years which will set up the features of a planet that somewhat resembles something we might find familiar. And again the process will unfold. The more complex the systems become the closer the systems will get to having nervous systems that use electricity to send signals in ways that we might compare to biological computer systems with go/no go systems of binary interactions. As the millenia unfold these electrical nervous systems will eventually become complex enough to form a sensory awareness of it's own being, which we know as consciousness. This will again become more complex and sophisticated until these entities are self aware and able to manipulate the environment around them in reproducible ways, which is what we think of as technology. As these new tools become more and more complex eventually the entities will become aware of the universe and be able to measure it. At this time the universe has now become aware of itself, which is the point of it all. Curious. Don't you think?

Several theories have been posited. There is the white hole theory which is basically a black hole in reverse. Matter exits instead of enters through a wormhole to another universe. There is also the theory that black holes contain universes and that we are currently living inside of a black hole.
