True story - When I was about 7 months pregnant, hormones just raging all over the place, my mom came in one day while my husband n I were at work, did a full house clean up and made the most scrumptious meal of steamed grouper, peas n grits, fried plantains n coleslaw with a homemade apple pie. My hubby is an eater like Lamb and gobbled his as soon as he got in. Was not having one of my better days so drank a cup of ginger tea and went to bed leaving my share for my dinner the following day. Man, all day at work I was raving about the scrumptious left overs I had at home. Made my co-workers envious I did. Went shopping with one of em after work and even refused to eat anything at the mall bcuz I didnt want to ruin my appetite for the delicious meal awaiting me at home. Got in and met 1 plate and 1 saucer in the sink. My heart started pounding, I actually started to tremble a bit.😆 With trepidation and mounting dread I slowly opened the refrigerator. My food was gone. The universe shifted. Nonononononono I started muttering, I could feel this wave of heat suffusing my entire body, my head felt like it was about to explode. I marched into the den and started stuttering and shaking! I couldn't even get the words out. There were no words. Just pure unadulterated rage!😂😂😂 Poor hubby was flabbergasted and frightened out of his wits! He thought I was having a seizure and launched over the sofa and started screaming "Baby baby talk to me! Whats the matter? Oh my God, Oh my God, Jesus help me!" 😂😂😂 I kept knocking his hands away while he kept trying to stroke me to still the shaking, the more he tried to hold me the more I batted at his hands. 😂😂 Until finally I was able to verbalize my rage and shouted "You ate my food!" 😂😂😂 " How could you eat your pregnant wife's foooodddaa!" He went stock still and I could see him trying to process what he was hearing. Wha?..ate...your...food...? He said slowly bemused and confused at the same time. 😂😆 "So...you're ok? you're not stroking out or anything?" I said with gritted teeth and measured words, my anger still only barely controlled "one of us will be if you dont find my dinner and NOT NOW RIGHT NOW!" He went, "so sorry so sorry baby came home and thought you didnt want it, figured since you hadnt touched it yesterday and I know how your stomach has been I thought that you didnt want it." DIDN'T WANT IT! I screamed, I've been waiting and plotting on that food all day! Apologizing profusely he said calm down, calm down got me a drink of water and guided me to the couch all the while stroking me like an orphaned kitten. Imma make it right, imma make it right just calm down. He grabbed his phone and dialed about 3 different restaurants. Ordered enough food for days. Every possible kind and variation thereof. If it flew, grew, swam or trotted he ordered it. 😂😂😂 He grabbed his keys and said he would pick up all the orders himself to make sure they got in as soon as possible. Made me a cup of tea and told me to sip til he got back. I did just that. Took off my shoes and sipped til I calmed myself down and moved nary a muscle for about an hour. On his return it took him 3 trips to bring all the orders out of the car.😂😂😂 My son with whom I was pregnant is now a young adult. Its a story he never gets tired of hearing.😁

I made a souther dish called Chitterlings one Christmas and the process of cleaning takes about a week. Everyone had plenty except me, because I was too tired from all the prep work.
