the problem when you adjust the power with the key, it rubs on the hole in the wood of the plate and wears it. So, you shouldn't have too much fun doing it 50 times a day. In addition, it is advisable to stay at 20 joules maximum because at 50 joules you lose a lot of air autonomy. This gun is simply the best in the world.👌

From what I understand, I have a V1 and the difference is the way the mag release lever works...Mine is lifted UP... and possibly the power it comes set to, if it's from a country outside of US

The difference is the position of the lever, on V1, the lever protrudes down and is in the way of your trigger finger for lefties (like on my prototype). The carbon wrap on the cylinder is also with different pattern on V1 than on V3... If you take it apart, the power adjusting screw assembly is different on V1 as on V3 (V1 is same as on my prototype, on V3 the made is a bit more simple to disassemble and adjust...)

Yes. I cannot speak for all countries, but this is general the case. I received it at about 20 joules (we have a 25 joules limit without FAC), and since I have FAC, removed the limitation and I have it adjustable from min. to max. power that the pistol can achieve.

@@Tnemelc-LLFrankly, I am OK with any version. If I was a leftie, then I would definitely prefer V3, but since I am not, I would be OK with any of them. In some sense, it is even easier to lift up the leaver (V1) but it is not big enough difference to make a bid deal about it in my case. I do like that the carbon wrap on the cylinder matches CF suppressor in V3...

I calculated this table for when you want to shoot at around 850 FPS that doesn't have too much of a drop. Assuming 350b pressure. ~ 70 FPE (Ft/Lbs) for about three shots - 3 rotations (almost max power) 45 grains slug ~ 55 FPE (Ft/Lbs) for about one magazine - ?? rotations (hunting power) 35 grains slug ~ 40 FPE (Ft/Lbs) for about two magazines - ?? rotations (training power) 25 grains pellet It has the muzzle energy and the corresponding slug or pellet weight to achieve the aforementioned speed. I am not sure about the rotations required for that FPE, I have to measure. There will be variation depending on the brand of ammunition, so I used the data available from hardairmagazine /ham-columns/whats-the-best-slug-weight-for-my-pcp-air-rifle

Hi. Thanks for the input. The position of the power wheel will not be exactly the same on each gun and when searching for that sweet spot, everyone will have to search on their own. I noticed the difference on my two pistols; the .22 cal need approx. 1/4 lower power setting to get the same valve timing (the power is of course not the same due to different calibre). As you mentioned, it will also highly depend on the slug / pellet. Thin thing I wanted to cover with this video is understanding and being able to listen (figurative ali literally) to the pistol and know how to adjust to get best performance.

@@antplaceI think that is mainly because the power increases so fast, but it does not harm the pistol in any way to go right away to desired setting... For example, you can go from fully closed to fully open (or better yet maximum setting that makes sense) in one step and vice versa. I would maybe advise that once you know the setting you like to adjust the screw at lower pressures if possible simply to put less stress to the threads of the screw enclosure.

@@gregorkamensek3923 Nevertheless, I think it should be possible to make a kind of "callibration curve" for the power adjustment screw, with the number of "revolutions counterclockwise" on the horizontal line of coordinates and the first shot energy in fpe on the vertical line. Such a curve could be standardized for any kind of pellets. I think the power adjustment process is repeatable, and such a set of callibration curves for most commonly used pellets would be a great help. Furthermore, another curve could be made for a number of shots possible before the pressure falls below 10 MPa (also standardized for most commonly used pellets)

Allot of my friends have to replace the washer on power control cause whenever they try to adjust air preasure ,All of the air cane out once i turned the screw a little. I was told i needed to get a new washer for the power screw area...any advice????

Dont know if these were old guns and the washers kinda glued itself and whenbi turned it,it riped the washer..so maybe always make sure to lube washers maybe??

Yes, they are quite equal. The .25 has a bit more low end but it is very hard to tell the difference if you don't have them side by side. You can hear the difference on the end of this video.

There are some videos that show this already online, I might do that my self sometime as well. Right now I can say this: as lower power settings, the power is very stable until you get to lower pressures (under about 160 bars). At that point there is usually a slight power increase before it starts to taper off due to lack of pressure. So the power curve for lower powers is a straight line with a slight bump before the power starts to taper off. So it it best to stop before that bump and that way, the power is virtually same consistency as with regulated pistols.

You can but there is no stopping point of the screw. it will just continue to go out despite the fact you reached max. position. You will feel it because there will no longer be any torque required to unscrew it further. This does not mean that the air will start to leak, just means that the screw will go out and start biting into the wooden grip. It is not recommended to shoot this way, especially not with lower pressures as you might get air dumps. If you really want the insane power, then fill it to 300 or 350 bars (whatever are capability of your filling setup) and only shoot it down to about 230 - 200 bars but no further! You will not get many shoots and a minimum reduction of power will save a huge amount of air for you with very slight reduction of power...

Any slugs will work. The limitation is that they should not be longer than 11 mm. It is also best if they are 5,55 or 6,40 mm dimension...

Simple; only rear sight is adjustable. Elevation is adjusted with an Alan key on the top side of the rear sight (I think it is 2,5 mm); windage is adjusted with a flat screwdriver on the side of the rear sight.

Hm, there is only one adjustment screw, so I am not sure what to tell you other than: fill the gun to max pressure or close to it, then open the power screw to max. Too high power setting has nothing to do with jamming the gun. The gun can jam for other reasons, mainly not using appropriate slugs. It is important that the slugs are somewhat snug in the magazine so they cannot jump forward or back on their own. Also, it helps if they don't have sharp edges on the front side... Also note that firing at too high power settings with low pressure and very heavy slugs can lead to air dump (pistol will be very loud and the pressure will drop down to about 50 bars at which point you cannot continue shooting until you refill the pistol).

Yes, then can be unthreaded and removed. But the spring (and with it the trigger) will not be functional way before that happens.

Yes, it will come out (if the grip is on, then the wood will prevent it from falling out). But the pistol can function normally but it is of course set to full power at this point, which can cause pressure dumps, if the pressure is too low (as I explained in the video).

I have a question about the fill probe. I have noticed that Huben GK1 fill probe does not fit to my Hill Mk4 hand pump. Is there any kind of adapter I could use, or should I simply buy a Huben hand pump?

Hm, it should. Can you give me more details; it is possible to insert it, but it does not lock (if so, push it in a little harder to compress the O-ring). Or the nipple on the adapter does not fit in the hole at all?

Regarding the pump: in my experience, Huben pump is slightly superior, but that does not mean that you should replace your Hill pump. I would say that you should replace it only if you are not able to pump to at least 300 bars with your current pump, otherwise, if you are happy with the Hill, try to resolve this issue with compatibility. Also, if you are looking to get as many shots as possible, you might need Huben pump because it goes to 350 bars. But keep in mind, it does require some effort and it helps if you are on the heavy side (weight vise) like me to do it... LOL

Don't know if I understand the question. Are you asking if you will still get full magazine of shots if you set the power to 2 revolutions from minimum? The answer is yes, probably (I do on mine) but the fill pressure must be at least 300 bars to achieve this.

I would say about 1 - 1.5 revolution for max power. Anything more would just waist air. But not all power adjusting screws are the same, so it is best to test and see what works best

if you pre-order it it’s 1400€ the price is normal they are the same internal as the k1 the barrel is shorter the bottle is also the principle of a pistol the regulator will come and you can install it. without the bottle sticking out. you will just have to add a pressure gauge.

Watching this video all the way through certainly should have cleared that up. When I got mine, I was amazed at how quiet it was. Now it's set to a reasonable power and suitably noisy.😁
