How tight must the bleed screw be tightened
@gregorkamensek39233 күн бұрын
You only need to tighten it until it stops leaking. It has an o-ring, so this should happen without it being tighten to the end. If it does not, then you might need to replace the o-ring.

Hi Gregor, thanks for all your videos. I am struggling to find the answer to a GK1 related question and wonder if you might know. I have a GK1 V3-R, this is the newer none regulated but under 6fpe model. It has a screw on top, next to the torx screw you can use to bleed with, but smaller. It's not there on any of your GK1's in videos I dont think. People are using this for a mount point for rear red dot adaptors, along with the iron sight screw. I wonder if you know the purpse of this screw that's next to the torx? I heard something about it being related to power limiting for the sub 6fpe and don't want to compromise this. Also heard it may be loctite'd in. Can't seem to find definitive answer to the screw's original purpose! Thanks for any help
@gregorkamensek39233 күн бұрын
I don't know about GK1. I have an additional screw on my old K1 in front of the torx (although that screw was flat with o-ring and not torx on that version). That screw could be used for power limitation but it was not in my case. It is possible that that screw serves are a transfer port choke to limit the power but I cannot say for sure.

@gregorkamensek39236 күн бұрын
Hi. There are a few ways. 1. You can bleed the whole gun by loosing the top action torx screw. 2. You can go down with regulator pressure by adjusting the regulator until the pressure from the plenum bleeds out (the pressure in the main cylinder still remains at this point), then remove the cylinder - regulator - plenum assembly from the gun, and then open the regulator a little bit to drain out the remaining air form the cylinder.

If I adjust hammer travel for leas power should I go clockwise or c-clockwise if I do it with the long flat screw driver from the back?
@gregorkamensek392310 күн бұрын
If you look at it from the rear of the hammer, clockwise will decrease hammer travel and lower the power. You need to loosen the perpendicular screw first in order to be able to rotate the adjusting screw.
@FabiánIbarra-n7w11 күн бұрын
Do you recommend removing hammer weight on my wolverine 303 for mor shots? How much power Will it loose?
@gregorkamensek392311 күн бұрын
You can adjust hammer travel distance. If you move it backwards (shorter stroke) you will achieve the top of the bell curve at lower pressures and have few more shots. It is hard to say the amount of shots you get on unregulated gun because it all depends on what velocity change you find acceptable.

I got a GK1 Carbine, with carbon stock yesterday. I took it to the range to use it and the trigger would not pull, and the safety catch didn't function. When I got home I used your disassembly video to take it apart. The stock must have been jammed on with a vice. It was so hard to get off the action. I read a forum post saying that you can reset the safety by removing the back behind the rear sight, removing the spring and then pushing an allen key in to put the mechanism back into position. That worked. Then I got a diamond file and basically filed out and fitted the stock to the action so it wasnt clamping the trigger bar. This took about 40 mins. I also noticed the trigger guard was not seated properly it was screwed down at an angle so didnt line up with the slot in the air cylinder. Everything works now and the gun functions as it should. I was disappointed in the quality of assembly of the gun for the money. I love the gun now though :-)

Hi Gregor it is better to connect the pressure side of the waterpump/-hose at the top to get the best result for cooling and the retour on the bottem back to the tub. The high pressure cilinder generates the most heat so it needs the most cooling. I use a Tuxing 300 bar two cilinder for 5 years now and it still works fine. It has the same system for cooling and the pressure water hose is first connected to the high pressure cilinder and then to the low pressure cilinder and then back to the tub. I also recommend to install a better pump. The quantity, liter/hour, of the waterpump you get with the compressor is good but the waterpressure is very low so when the hose is a bit flat it loses it's capacity in l/h. For the oil in the compressor you can use regular motoroil for petrol engines 5 W 40 and change it once a year or when it's getting a dark colour. The Tuxing I have fills a 12 liter bottle from 200- to 310 bar in about 20minutes. I must say I keep good maitenance on my compressor and change every half year the 4 pistonrings in the high pressure cilinder. I Install them with a little bit siliconspray because they don't get any lubrication during their life. Thanks for your informative uploads.

where can i buy another barrel that has a faster twist rate for the gk1 v3 ive got??😊
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
Hm, not sure but if it is for GK1 (pistol), then I would not worry about twist rate unless you are shooting long range with it :)
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
BTW: for .22 cal, the twist rate is perfectly sufficient for any slugs, even boat tail. Only .25 cal has relatively slow twist that is not that good for slugs. At least that is the case on my K1s and GK1s.
@RaysAirgunsReviewАй бұрын
so, .219 slugs work best? ive got some that are .220 that seem to work well also..Nielson .223 36gr slugs resized to .220 right now and ill resize some to .219 later this week when i get the NOE sizing bushing..
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
It depends on the gun version and also the slug but in case of mine slugs in the video, .219 is best and also loads best in the magazine. .220 should be just fine as long and you can load them in the magazine without using excessive force.
@RaysAirgunsReviewАй бұрын
@gregorkamensek3923 yeah.. .220 seems alittle snug but theyve got the dried bullet sizing lube on them..cant wait to get the .219 sizing bushing to see of any differences..be nice to find a barrel thatll fit with faster rate of twist OR a barrel available, say about 10" to 12" inches for these sbr sub carbine builds for switching out easily for back packing or survival defense type scenerio..the gk1 does have the capability to Expand into a survival, hunting genre of crossover pcp..im already seeing that this pistol can outshoot/ outpower my Walther Reign .22 rifle and ive shot my Walther at beyond 250 yards..the gk1 v3 .22 specimen ive got will shoot a small .35 inch or less 5 shot group at 40 yards off the bench( this being with 14.3gr Crosman Premier hp's and JSB 18.13) and a 3x12x44 scope( with a simple green dot sight itll stay around the same size ragged small hole group of less than 1" at 40 yds also..So, im looking forward to testing at 100 yds..eventually ill get the Huma regulator to install and id bet this pistol will do( just possible) be able to do bench rest accuracy at 100 yards..im up to start a You Tube review channel in the near future, so i hope to post my findings with the GK1 extensively very soon..
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
@@RaysAirgunsReview I saw this post second... For the projectile length that fit in magazine, the stock twist is perfectly sufficient. With my .22 K1, I am using this same barrel and those slug and they are extremely accurate and perfectly stabilized. It will even stabilize boat tail slugs that require more twist (for example ml V2 slugs or Altaros...). The .25 is more problematic because the barrels I have have only about 26" twist... Those barrels do not stabilize boat tail slugs. Regulator will improve your consistency and accuracy but will reduce the power significantly and also reduce the shot count at same power level. All the best with your KZbin channel :)

Hello Gregor, I have a problem with the P3 which comes up very frequently: I have air leak from the breach, which indicates a faulty valve I suppose. The valve itself and the chamber look o.k, as well as the valve housing, tgerefore is it correct to assume that the problem may be the o ring that goes over the housing and seats in the guns action ? How xan I remove this without scratching the surrounding netal ? Im I correct in assuming that this is the problem ? I really look forward to your reply. Many thanks
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
It is possible that the problem is that o-ring, but I still put bigger probability to the valve even if you don't see that there is anything wrong with it. I never had to remove that seal, but you are right, it is quite risky. There is a similar O-ring on K1 and KG1 that I did had to replace and it was a nightmare. One of my viewers actually made me a tool to for this removal afterwards that is basically a bent needle tip on a longer thicker rod. The trick it to just pierce through the o-ring and not go all the way to the aluminium. But I would still put my bet on the valve. Try to replace that first... BTW: can you hear the leak? If so, odes it sound different at different pressures? Does the sound different after each shot? Also possible is that the o-ring in the chamber where the valve goes in (and the valve spring) is leaking. Actually, that one is higher probability than the one you mentioned as well.
@andreascharalambous6992Ай бұрын
@@gregorkamensek3923 Thank you for your reply. I can gear the leak, less noisy at the begining but becoming louder and constand after I take a few more of shots. No difference at different bottle pressures until the bottle is completely empty
@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
@@andreascharalambous6992 OK. that helps. Can you also check to what pressure the regulated pressure raises? It is possible that if the pressure does not get high enough that the valve does not seal... You should get to at least about 150 bars, then dry fire it a few times. This helps the valve to properly seat. All this is with assumption that the valve is not sealing which most likely scenario. If you have possibility, try to get another valve and when you replace it also replace the o-ring in the valve chamber...
@andreascharalambous6992Ай бұрын
@gregorkamensek3923 thanks Gregor, this means that I shall have to increase the reg. pressure to 150 bar or higher. I shall do as you recommend, let us hope it works.

@gregorkamensek3923Ай бұрын
Perfect size for the latest magazines of K1 and GK1 that I have see till now is about .2185 (5.55mm) but if the slug has rings and they have relatively small surface area and/or if it is relatively soft lead, then you can still push them in. My casted slugs from mold V2 (this video) fit just fine. V1 slugs do not. V3 slugs need to be sized to 5.55 mm as explained in the video.
