Thank you for dialing up this video. I have watched it so many times breaking down my K1 twice now. This last jam was 100% my fault, so stupid I don't want to repeat why it happened. I've learned rotating the mag before shooting and NOT using a speed loader has stopped the jams for me.
@PeakyBlinder Жыл бұрын
Did you know that all you need to do is drain the plenham by opening the regulator, this relieves the pressure on the mag and allows the jammed projectile to drop back into the mag, Remove the damaged projectile and re open the regulator to the correct setting you started with. These jams are caused by the wrong sized projectiles in the mag, they need to fit snug in the mag and not loose. You don't need to strip the gun like this and the issue can be rectified in the field in 5 minuets. It's very simple.

That is a great tip, I will try it next time.

So I feel dumb but could you explain please. If you lower the Regulator "the Hex wrench adjustment" then the working pressure wont drop until you fire it a few times right? so I'm confused how you can "open the regulator" and it lowers the working pressure low enough to dislodge it? I can not find any information on this except here from you.

Really detailed and informative video. This has happened to me a few times and I've actually been able to carefully push the slug back into the mag with a cleaning rod from the the muzzle side. They do jam really hard but it's doable.

Call this number 1-978-567-6970 and get the boat tail slugs they shoot better than pellets with your gun. They are very informed and will guide you for the correct ammo.. good luck An hopefully no more issues... I know since I've used them I've had no issues, knock on wood

I just got mine and was glad to see your video come up on my feed. I have not had that trouble and the gun is amazingly fun to shoot. I plan on only shooting NSA 38.5 grain slugs. I will tune a little but save the monkeying around to my FX rifles. I hope you solved the problem. Thanks so much for taking the time to help our fellow Huben K1 owners.

Use the .253 caliber. You want them nice and tight, I use Zan slugs 38 grain
@davyboone17942 жыл бұрын
It's most always a slug moving too far forward and binding on the front end. The cleaning rod works but you have to be careful not to push it back too far or it will jam on the back end. There's a little plastic ring on the back in front of the blast chamber with three little fingers and the slug can get giant jammed in between those three fingers if you push it back too far and too hard. Don't ask me how I know that:-)

The couple of jams I had, long ago, I managed to clear by cutting the pellet in half, slipping spring shim stock through a narrow slot. Not sure if it was at the firing chamber or if it was close alongside.

Great video, thank you. I read one should always push the pellets or slugs until seated; seen Gregor Kamensek do it to his own Hubens. Use a golf pin or the handle of a common lollipop, that ought serve the purpose. However, using larger projectiles in diameter will do well for the most part, not 216 or 217, but the 218 and larger. I never seen have any trouble with the JSB Monster redesigned in .22 caliber at 25.39 grains, which out to even 100 yds will be very precise and accurate. Thank you again.

I've only experienced jams when the pressure isn't high enough to send the round down the barrel.
@ratlivesmatter1252 жыл бұрын
I know. Your slugs are not large enough diameter. Your Huben does best with. 253 or max. 254. Most common slugs like JSB or Knockouts are 250 and 251 respectively. Smaller slugs will fall into the barrel if you tip the gun downwards. It will still fire, however. One more possibly is your slugs are to big diameter and not seated into the mag enough.
@wildman23462 жыл бұрын
I use 254 they fit snug so it's not that

I agree this never happens to me when using wide diameter slugs in either of my hubens, I have both calibers. It did happen when using .250 though. Pellets can do it too.

do your pellets or slugs fit snug? They could be sliding too much forward...

A similar fail can happen when the two fat o rings behind the rear plate go bad. You'll pull the trigger and air will start blowing in your face, but you can turn the mag to stop the air. If you try again, it'll do the same thing, this means those o rings are bad, but it can also cause a jam. I just had to change the o rings on my 22 and a slug had jammed almost at the end of the barrel. Be sure to check your barrel if this happens. I have had to change them twice on my 2018 huben so far, so expect to have to change them every so often. You say 257 at the end of the video, if true I think that's too big, if 254 you should be good. Check your o rings behind the back plate maybe. I could see them going bad contributing to this type of jam. Seems like mine go bad every 2-3000 shots, but I'm always on high power, that may play a roll.
@wildman23462 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's 254 and the problem is the gun is only couple months old.
@-Ricochet-2 жыл бұрын
My gun behaves almost as you describe. Only that it leaks out thru the barrel slowly and then stops at a low pressure or if I rotate the mag. Could be these o-rings? Are they located behind the visible plate above the stock butt with two big screws?

what a stupid gun. cant unload the magazine! these huben's are good examples of how people making airguns lose their head over hammerless design and other horseshit no one needs.

I mean these hubens are stupid accurate, as in casually hitting cans at 300 yards no problem but it's obvious it needs a redesign to allow the user to deal with jams without distmantling the entire gun and losing zero.

Boat tailed slugs, 22 cal 35 gr large .. .218 dia body) .233 sealing ring 100 count. Same exact everything except in small .217 25 cal 47 gr (.250 dia body ) .253 sealing ring- 100 ct. order from New England Airgun phone number 1- 978-567-6970 Also if when your mag is spinning and you feel any catching, take a small nail using the head end an seat the pellets or slugs in as to not rub !!! But with these slugs I've told you about you'll have no issues ! Buy better slugs, think your gun cost 1400 or 1800 depending on where you got it so spend the extra bucks for the better correct ammo. By all means I'm not saying you haven't, but some even costly ammo isn't correct and cheap ammo isn't worth it unless when you call that number they say so!!! Let me know your results
@meaghancote-mcauley792 жыл бұрын
Also when you seat all slugs in spin clip making sure it spins without any restrictions, you can also use the nail to unload your slugs by pushing on the bullet end making them pop out... the newer gen 7 has the rifling guides to make sure the slugs seat in , but I'm telling you give these people a call , very nice and will help you with anything

This should make it so you don't have to take apart your whole gun .... at least I've been lucky enough to do so..... best of luck
