Great video. The Gold Berlingo (BW02 NOF) was my ‘Gold Goddess’. I owned her from new until a few months ago. The purchase of a campervan meant I had to reluctantly let her go. It was the best car I have ever owned and is sadly missed. It took me and my family everywhere and is part of our memories. Thankfully the new owner is a lovely lady who has converted it to a micro camper so it will still be loved.

@@Snarfcat The Invacar has no redeeming features whatsoever IMHO. I have a theory that they were designed so dangerous in order to cull the number of invalids and therefore reduce the social care bill. You don't really see them anymore here in Sweden, so that was a very nice surprise and I was so excited by the encounter I had to check out eBay to see if there was any nice 1:43-models of it, which there were - which is why I now have one in my ever growing collection 😁 - Love all the classic Citroën vans!

Belingos, Partners and Doblos are everywhere over here in this part of Spain. I ended up buying a Doblo as a stop gap, but it is such a versatile thing. Fold the rear seats down and loads of space to carry furniture, full builders vans, etc. With the rear seats in position, passengers have masses of headroom and leg room, and still loads of space in the load area. My thought of buying a BMW 530 is but a distant memory

I've got a 1998 Peugeot Partner van sitting on my driveway waiting for me to get it on the road again. I bought it new and did 334000 in it, on the original clutch I might add. I have never seen a Berlingo in person. We did not get them in the USA. However I did see its cousin the Peugeot Partner sitting in the customer parking lot of pick it/pull it junk yard outside Washington DC. It was from Mexico City so it and its owner had a long drive to get up there. I am not sure what the owner was doing there as you were not going to find any French vehicles in that junk yard. Though I did see a LeCar years ago in there.

It’s so good to see how fondly the Berlingo is regarded. The design has totally made it to bonafide classic status, unlike the C15. The styling is unpretentious and the space inside is enormous for the wheelbase. I have a Berlingo 1.4 dualfuel petrol/lpg- although I never bother with the gas these days. The front passenger seat does some clever things; folds flat to make a table, tumbles forward and has a storage compartment underneath. The rear wheelarches are so small you hardly lose any space to them. I’m going to turn it into a microcamper when I have some more time.

I do like a Berlingo, but I love a C3 Pluriel! Perhaps my nostalgia for being aged 10 when they launched, and seeing one demonstrated by the local Citroën dealer at a car show, explains my fascination with them. Perhaps not such a great ownership proposition as a Berlingo, but I've heard several first-hand accounts from happy Pluriel owners who wouldn't drive anything else.

I bought a 2004 Multispace 2.0 HDI new in 2004 and so far it is the only vehicle I've kept as a forever car. I was lead to buy it after Jeremy Clarkson heaped praise on the model. It now has 125k on the clock and apart from servicing and consumables the only repairs are a new clutch in March this year, front struts and bottom pulley around four years ago. I brought it to France when I moved here 12 years ago and it still pulls like a train and uses negligible oil between services. It is also remarkably frugal on diesel. Despite it being one of three cars I have, it's the one I jump in to for the majority of my journeys. It owes me nothing and when eventually it does expire I'll definitely be considering another to replace it.
