I'm very fortunate because I work from home during the better part of the day and in the evening I get to spend quality time with YT. New Hubnut videos are always a treat. Good for you Ian. It's about time more of us took a stand against this ridiculous house arrest. As long as we use common sense, keep to the social distancing rules of being 2 meters apart from others, and don't do anything stupid, there's absolutely no reason why we can't go out and enjoy the fresh air. Walking and driving about in the countryside isn't going to kill anyone. And not all of us think the situation is anywhere near as serious as officialdom would have us believe. My neighbour is a nurse, and she's been put on a two day week because there aren't enough patients and not enough work for her to do to justify keeping her on her normal full time shift patterns. Now, what does that tell you? Be safe everyone, but don't be too keen to completely give up your freedom. Just remember to use your common sense.

You can get tesco slots by logging in on at say 11:40pm to avoid the login queue's then at a few minutes past midnight click on book a slot then click on home delivery to see the new dates appear on the far right of the dates,its the very last date shown that your after. Sometimes the new dates don't appear straight away and then you have to click on book a slot then click on home delivery truck picture again to reveal the new dates. Whatever you do don't click refresh as you will end up in a queue and you won't get a slot by the time your logged in again. The delivery slots are for in 3 weeks time though as all the previous dates have been taken. Asda i recently logged in about 5:40am in the morning to get a slot and half of them were gone so i suspect a login time to see the new dates after 5am-5:30am. But still deliveries are for a few weeks time from now if you get one. Morrisons the same log in before 6am to get a slot for 3 weeks time. Sometimes you can get one much earlier with morrisons as someone can cancel a delivery and it shows up straight away in the delivery slots,so keep checking throughout the day. With tesco the cancelled order don't show up straight away. Iceland is good for getting one in the daytime and just a few days ahead too just keep checking throughout the daytime. Free delivery from iceland with orders over £35 too. Hope this helps for everyone.

I agree, I am having lots of problems with deliveries, it is difficult for them at the moment and they are undoubtedly trying hard. But there does seem to be a culture of lying instead of just saying "sorry mate your delivery will be late because we are doing twice the amount of work, with half of our staff isolated".
@HubNut4 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly. THAT is what has annoyed me by DHL. A bit late because of circumstances? Absolutely fair enough. Telling me an item has been delivered when it has not, then proving utterly unable to deliver it despite my best efforts? Not on.

I had a 2 GS break. I loved them. The engine was excellent and in the snow they're unbeatable. Very well engineered, just a pity about the quality. I still miss them.

Cardigan looks like a really nice place to visit when this is all over would love to walk the Ceredigion coastal path at some point in the future as well.

Yes, you must. It's glorious. Much of the path is now closed.

Always good to see you Ian. Espesically in the GSA. I was speaking to our neighbour this morning, from at least 2 metres away, and we both decided that a good indication of how the world has changed can be summerised as follows; January, "Oh hell we have to go shoppinrg." April, " oh hell, please let me go shopping>" Stay safe everyone.

Went a cheeky drive to Edinburgh today to. Mainly to chum my dad to drop his Porsche in at a workshop and then back again to pick it up.

That's interesting. Are car workshops open? I thought garages were closed. Cheers.

@@alfonsodriver1324 small garage that my dad knows the owner. He's only currently working there himself but having to pay his colleagues who are currently at home. Something along those lines. Basically keeping to himself

Smashing little shopping trip video, I've never been so eager to go for the weekly shop, I might become a secret eater so we can go more often.🤫 The GSA sounds a real fun little car and can't wait to see more of it. Stay safe Mr Seabrook.

Hi Hubnut. On charging matters, I have known the charge light on the dash to light up while the battery stays charged, and it could be that one diode in the alternator has died. This sort of thing can also zap the voltage regulator, which can lead to overcharging and cooking the battery. I have a piece of kit which I recommend to multiple car owners for monitoring their charging systems. It's a digital voltmeter which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. I just checked eBay and thesedays they are still available and dirt cheap, and now all seem to come with USB charging points as well. Re charging voltage, in the old days, 13.8V - 14V was ideal. Thesedays, the non-topuppable batteries prefer a higher voltage, no less than 14V and usually around 14.5V. Cheers.

Thanks. I do have a voltmeter, but sadly, like everything else, it's at the unit. The 12v power outlet in the car doesn't work at the moment. Another thing I'd like to use the voltmeter to explore!
