Hubsan Zino 2 Plus + Introduction & First Flight at The Snake River Canyon

For our first flight with the Hubsan Zino 2 Plus, I did the logical thing. I sent it over the Snake River Canyon. The drone performed very well, and returned some really scenic video. I really enjoyed this flight.

bit late today, I've always been impressed with the picture quality as your have shown us very well with the Hubsan. todays pictures are testament to that. I did not want to bye the mini 2, but todays rulings here in the UK forces me to get one. Or, wait for a budget that fly's almost as good. Another nice video, thank you.

When I fly a drone against a strong wind for any length of time I tack(zig zag) against the wind this way the motors and the electronics stay cooler.

Watching the best zino perform makes me glad I spent more for a dji drone. My mavic air 2 goes where I put it and stay the there. Also, precise landings are the norm in just about in any condition of weather. (Barring extremes) Video quality is better too

Lul I got my Zino 2+ from a sale for 350 bucks, Mavic Air 2 is like 1000 bucks almost 3x the price. The Zino is perfect for beginner fliers.

Great flight. As others have said anything on the snake river and I immediately watch. Crazy landing though I think you had it in sport mode . That wind looked strong, would have been interested to see how the Mini 2 would have handled it. As zino is so powerful I would have been a little concerned for the mini 2.

Nice unbox and first flight....Nice that there is a way to silence the RTH beeping. Do you happen to know if that can used to silence the low battery warning also? Nothing more obnoxious then having your drone beeping loudly while you are trying to get it back home.

Nice test flight of the new Zino 2 Plus, it seemed to fly much like the Zino 2 standard. And it was good not to see any glaring lens flare issues in the video. The white balance seemed a little off, and why I say this the white balance out of your GoPro whas much better. And even though camera did a good job with the blue sky it crushed the shadows on the ground, it looked to dark for that time of day. Great review Marcus, but I don't see any show stopping features that would make me upgrade from the Zino 2 Standard.

I really struggled with my Zino 2+ video. I had problems with it accepting my U3 SD card. I had to format it a few times. It stopped recording randomly and wouldn’t stop recording at one stage. I think one of the motors was not quite right too. I sent it back but your video makes me wonder if I just had a bad one. Maybe I should have persevered. They offered me a discount on a replacement.

I've noticed that all of the Zino 2s, the original and the Plus are very sensitive to micro SD cards. There does not seem to be much rhyme nor reason to it either. The card I used on this flight did not work on a subsequent flight. I agree it's a problem that Hubsan needs to address.

Idaho Quadcopter yeah I think it does a speed test rather than just trusting it. I’ve never had problems with the same card in my Sony A6400 so I’d expect it’s not the card. I actually flew the Zino 1 and much preferred the experience of that. Except the battery life of course.

Hi Marcus. Thank you for making these videos. Really enjoy watching them. I'm a beginner and am going to buy either a Hubsan Zino 2 Plus or a DJI Mavic Air 2 and I would appreciate your thoughts and advice. Will you please comment? Thanks in advance. I really like the Mavic Air 2 but since I live near an airport, I've started considering the Hubsan Zino 2 Plus. (I've since learned that I can contact LAANC and and get authorization to fly, but I'm not sure how easy and fast that process is or if the Mavic will accept the authorization and fly). Is it easy to get authorization to fly from LAANC??? One of the reasons I like the Mavic is the stability in hovering I've seen and it seems to be easy for beginners to use. Another reason is the obstacle avoidance in the Mavic. If I can't easily get off of the ground with LAANC, then I think my next best bet may be the Hubsan Zino 2 Plus as it seems that it may accomplish all I want to do with the exception of automatic obstacle avoidance. Having said that, I do have some concerns for the Hubsan. My concerns for the Hubsan are these: - Is it stable when hovering? (I don't want to lose control and hit anything and I may also be landing the drone in a boat that is on the water from time to time and I certainly don't want the drone or myself to go into the water!) - Is it easy for a beginner to fly? I've read reviews from your page and other sites that say the joysticks are very touchy and not easy for beginners to learn to fly. I also have children who may want to fly the drone. So, is it easy for beginners??? - How well does this Hubsan perform in the wind, as compared to the Mavic Air 2? - How does the Hubsan perform with a small payload? (I also plan to drone fish and carry bait out over the water.) - How dependable is the Hubsan Zino 2 Plus as compared to the Mavic Air 2 Given my questions and your answers, which drone should I buy? The Hubsan Zino 2 Plus or the Mavic Air 2? Your thoughts are much appreciated. Thank you.

Getting authorization to fly in controlled airspace is now quite easy with LAANC. My choice would be the Mavic Air 2. 👍

I will give you an example. In the Philippines if a Chinese business needs capital or employees they would go back to China to get them. The Philippine government had to enact a law that all Philippine businesses had to be 51% owned by Philippine citizens. Or with in a generation the Chinese would have owned the Philippines.

Drone is fun to fly, I don’t trust any Zino to last. Mine committed drone suicide in mid air. Same stories all over the place. Also the dynamic rage for video is poor. I’d love to see Hubsan do better with this.
