Hubsan Zino 2 Plus Tracking And Automated Flight Modes Flight Test

In this video, I take a look at some of the automated flight modes with the Zino 2 Plus. It does a really great job of tracking, and offers a few options to achieve a point of interest orbit. The lens flare issue is still evident in this drone, as well as SD card issues that seem to be common with the Zino 2. Overall I like the drone, and really enjoy flying it. For those bashing this drone should have a look at the specs of this drone with the MAVIC AIR 2. For nearly half the price you get a very similar drone to the MAVIC AIR 2. Ive ordered mine the main reason is that this drone handles windy loctions very well. There are videos of this drone flying over bodies of water and it handles the ocean winds extremly well!!

@@IdahoQuadcopter I hope so... Maybe I'll get out this weekend... quick question, did you ever find a SD card that worked? I'm only asking because Google doesn't seem to know. The SanDisk Extreme Pro I put in the quad says it's too slow. The only cards my research came up with that are faster are all $120 or more. That seems like overkill for a quad I payed less than $500 for. I have a couple other U3 cards on the way from amazon... but if you have a suggestion I'd love to hear it :) Thank you again!

Its a very well engineered drone. I have never had any problems with Hubsan Drones either the drones, parts, firmware, or software. I have two these, hopefully there will be Zino 3 and Zino 3 Plus with optical zoom, internal remote ID, with newer 1 " sony sensors, Ambrella video processors with 5G capabilities , H.265 , etc. I contacted Hubsan and mentioned about making Zino 3 and Zino 3 Plus, I got an email back next day saying they are watching the market place.

Indeed and using cine mode(slowest flight speed) and flying at 50-100' the video quality is top notch, sport mode is like 45 mph , lol , as with any picture/video system the quality of the camera lens and their configuration, image sensor, and the picture/video processing unit makes the difference, not all lens, sensors or image processors are created equal.@@IdahoQuadcopter

I felt bad for you that wasted what seemed like half the video messing with that SD card. I’m glad you finally got it sorted out. And the lens flare isn’t as bad as the Zino 2, but still unacceptable for a camera drone costing over $400. Good honest test flight and review.

Just got my 2+. Cant wait to get it in the air. Not many blue sky days this time of year in Missouri. I have some Anafi filters I am going to try on the camera. They actually fit. Great video Marcus!

The tested speed of memory varies with the number of transfer errors the card generates. This slows the memories practical storage speed. You can often solved the problem by placing the card in a PC and doing a surface scan. This will mark slow sectors as bad and usually they will not be used to store data anymore. This reduces the errors. Errors generate retries that waste time and slow checksum algorithms. I think the images from this camera are awesome. 👍

The Zino 2+ has a lot less sunflare than the Z2. The video looks Great from Z2+, very Good. Hubsan has a great camera, I think it's better than what I have seen from Fimi for the exception of lens flare.

Hi Marcus, why oh why do we keep suffering with these second class drones? Since owning the DJI Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 drones, all other drones I own are poor sisters to fly and own. Sometimes I occasionally drag out the worst drone ever made to fly, the JJRC X9PS, just a sin offering. Love your drone videos.

He tests them for the same reason I do. So you guys don't have to suffer with them. It is for the channel. We review them so you guys don't have to waste money taking risks buying them. We also like trying it out budget drones looking for that diamond in the rough. Not all of them are bad though obviously none of them compare to DJI but DJI drones are often much more expensive in other countries so some people can only afford these lesser known "budget" drones. If you think Marcus tests out crappy drones then you ought to check out my channel. Lol

In my Mavic Air 2 I use a Lexar 1800x UHSII card. I bought a Lexar 1000 32GB UHSII and put it in my Hubsan drone didn't format it and no issues.

I think reason it struggles with sd card speeds. As recording format is 264 which is a bigger file than 265 that say dji an most brands use for 4k60 footage as you do need a mega fast sd cards to support 4k60 at H.264. Needs something like 15mbps(H.265) is equal to 32mbps(H.264) write speeds at 4k30, so double that for 4k60

@@IdahoQuadcopter I liked the Zino Pro warts and all, The zino 2 plus is going to be a replacement for the Autel Evo 2 pro, The footage i have seen on your channel an others looks very usable(Cpl filter ordered). Also if need to replace camera on Autel. I could buy two Zino 2 plus drones with spare batterys. As hobbist drone pilot that is hard to justify. So sold it ordered this Zino an a Fimi x8 mini. Still unsure about the Fimi. never used their stuff, like the look of app. Keep these video's coming enjoy the mistakes, an making a fool of yourself. just as much as any part.

Looks like you had your hands full of problems on this flight. To be honest I didn’t think the lens flare was that bad considering how low the sun was. Over in the UK I would be happy for just some sunny skies and no rain!

The tests are always with everything up to date and in environments without much interference. The fpv (excluding fpv HD) cuts out very quickly and freezes. Since the last update it's going pretty bad in general. Do you know which sync channel leas can work better?

Thank you! I don't remember what brand of cable I bought. Look on Amazon, and buy a good one. Make sure it says OTG. Yes, the Hubsan remote charges your phone. I don't know of a way to change it.

I could be wrong but most of the USB-C to Micro USB or iOS cables are wired backwards for this because USB-C is the host end and will try to charge the controller instead of the controller charging the phone. You need one like the ones I link below I think. His looks similar but with iOS connector instead of USB-C. I'm trying to find one much longer so I can put my phone in a visor headset. I'll post a follow-up if I find one that works properly. Yes it is micro USB. Hubsan OTG cables can be problematic. I suggest finding a good quality OTG cable on Amazon.

There is no appreciable lag in the FPV feed. Any quality OTG cable on Amazon should work.

Yeah Marcus bro, seriously... I use just one 128gb SD Card, it has a maximum bitrate of 100Mbs! You should really just invest in like a very very expensive SD Card, like I did, and then only mostly use that one.. Of course this Hubsan drone seems a bit weird to me hey.. I think that you should just stick to real quality drones. Like DJI drones, awesome machines.. PS: can't wait for a sub 250g drone from Sony, that will be do awesome! To be fair Marcus is showing people what can happen when trying out a new drone. Things often don’t work out. This can useful especially for anyone interested in buying this drone. Maybe the Sandisks are not the best cards for the Hubsan. If he edits it out no one would know.
