Huck Finn's serves up some excellent food and the service is great too. If you ever come to Nashville, there is a restaurant called Caney Fork that serves up some amazing hush puppies. I am so glad ya'll liked Huck Finns. I always worry when I recommend a restaraunt to others. I am afraid they won't like it...the food won't be as good...and that they will get bad service. That tea!! YUM!! Taste like I made it! We did fill up on vittles...and had to bring about half our dinner home with us...lol. But it was still good reheated. I wish I would have thought to tell Jennifer to look at the Fall t shirt they have. I saw a glimpse of it in the video. Those are beautiful shirts. I have had so many compliments on mine. The rusty dark orange color is rather unique...and the colors just pop out on it. Anyway...Hope ya'll have a great week ahead. God bless!

We thought the tea here was amazing. You're right - those vittles are a meal by themselves. @@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV I only use Lipton. For a half gallon use 2 Family size...or 5 regular size tea bags. Fill a med. size pan a little over half full with cold water. Put bags in and let it come just barely to boiling...not a full boil. Turn off the eye and let it sit for 10-15 mins. Put 3/4 to 1 cup of sugar in your container and pour in the hot tea. Stir well to melt the sugar and finish filling with water. The main thing is don't mash on the tea bags when they are brewing or when you pour it in your jug. It "bruises" the tea and makes it bitter.

And whats witt ALL the Cracker Barrel CLONE "themed" restaurants complete with "country cookin" food like meat loaf, pot roast, fried chicken mashed potatoes, corn bread, green beans, etc for $25 a plate? And a "country store" sellin "homemade $8 jars of jelly and $30 t-shirts advertsing the joint. WOW do people really get into this "hillbilly theme" out there in them smoked up mountains? I thought this sorts place died in the 70s?

@@steveludwig4200 Pigeon Forge is at the foothills of the most visited national park in the U.S., The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The GSMNP had 13 million visitors last year alone, so most restaurants will fare pretty well in the area due to the sheer number of tourists flocking to the area. Most people are on vacation and won’t flinch at paying a few extra bucks here and there for a meal. Whenever I’m on business trips to California and Chicago, I’m always shocked at the cost for parking - but then again, the prices are just commensurate to the market and what people are willing to pay. Cracker Barrel (another TN based restaurant) specializes in “meat and 3s,” which is a trademark meal to Tennessee, just as cheesesteaks are to Philadelphia. The restaurants are just catering to what people enjoy. While it may not be a popular meal option wherever you’re from, the meat and 3s are a big hit in Tennessee.
