I ordered the five of them from wish not knowing it was a Huda beauty dupe lol. I just ordered them for several of the beautiful color sets. Plus they are color sets that I tend to gravitate to as well.

I looked up the ingredients already! I'm allergic? extremely sensitive? to Talc and these little guys contain Talc in some shadows (I didn't bother to check which shades) and the larger palettes do not contain Talc.

I’d say it’d end up turning brown. Safiya Nygaard did a video where she combined all the colours from her palettes (forget how many but a LOT) and made a franken-shadow which was brown but really pretty. She did another video where they combined all the lipsticks in Sephora too.

I wanted to love these pallets. The idea is genius. Most people don’t need giant pallets of 100 shades of crazy colors. So these petit, thoughtful, beautiful pallets are perfect. I love that they all have sort of a monochromatic, cohesive color story. The quality however..., it just isn’t there. When I originally swatched my brights one, it swatched beautifully. I was so excited. However once I applied it on my eye, it completely transformed into a patchy, unpigmented, powdery mess. I wish sge would reformulate these because this is exactly what the market needs but doesn’t have.

This is the thing about these tiny Huda palettes, you can build up the sheer mattes in the crease and then use one of those lovely shimmers on the lid, but if you're more into matte looks and prefer applying a dark matte shadow all over the lid, you're fucked and you've wasted your money.

These retail for $35 CAD. When I spend my hard earned money on makeup, I would like all the colours in the eyeshadow palette to be perfect! I cant fathom buying a palette with matte colours that have no payoff and ultimately wont be used. This is why I do very thorough research before deciding to invest in a palette. @@chiccaluminosa I have the Amethyst and Emerald and really like them! The mattes are easy to work with and perform a lot better than they swatched! The shimmers and glitters are really pretty, but you should use a glitter glue and apply with your finger.

​@@chiccaluminosa, the mattes really are not like the quality of the large palette mattes, but I do like the little palettes. I wouldn't probably come up with a look using just one of those anyway. The shimmers are to fantastic. I have all but the ruby, and I'm quite happy with them. I might pick Topaz as my favorite of them. It's most "wearable" but I have used all of the palettes on workdays, just generally with a neutral palette.

My emerald palette arrived last week and I had it next to me while watching this. I had found the colours very easy to apply and so was rather shocked to see the wishy washy swatches. i bought the electric obsessions palette when it came out, and honestly i regret the purchase so much lol. all the mattes, except one, are insanely powdery and just blend away, and the shimmer just flake and don't adhere to a finger, silicone applicator, or a brush (wet or dry).

I have these and when I swatched them I noticed that they are no where near the colors of the gems stones!! I was highly disappointed that the Amethyst was more purple and warm when Amethyst is more of a purple and cool toned!! I wish Huda beauty would actually make some cool toned palettes and color themes that actually would make sense!! Maybe get a team of people who actually are artists and understand the color wheel and know the difference between color and the tones of colors rather than making it look like a color but still having a warm undertone and making only colors that Huda would wear.
