Quran Surah Al an'aam chapter 6 verse 159. As for those who divided their religion and became sects-you have nothing to do with them. Their case rests with God; then He will inform them of what they used to do.

The brother above mentioned ayat from surah al an'am ayat 159, after reading this ayat it is clear that Allah has told us not to divide religion into sects. Now brother, if islam would be needing labels like shia or Sunni or making sects in the name of label, Allah knows everything, if this was the need of islam than Allah must have told us in Quran or through our prophet hadith. But we dont find anything ayat or hadith that tells us to divide into sects. So creating logic to prove sects, lets not forget what Allah has commanded us not to make divisions in religion. Brother the shaikh and other who are trying to create logic to defend the sects they should think what they are doing. Allah knows everything. Please go through this ayat, surah Al-Hujarat ayat 1. We should not proceed or surpass Allah and his messenger(like creating sects or division and making a logic to prove sects is like we know more than Allah). I hope this clears, we are muslim. 'Ilm is many things, relìgiòn, sciènce, sòcial, hìstory, etc. And Qalam, is not only a pèn, but sèquènces of caùse and èffèct. I will give you an èxàmple. If the sàhaba (ra) have the 'ilm, or knowledge, about mòdèrn àstrònòmy, they would be àble to make the còrrèct tàfsir of Al-Fùssilat v.9-12. If the eàrly schòlars have the knowlèdge of their gràndpàrènt's jàhiliyàh cùltùre, there wouldn't be any khilàf on how òld 'Aisha ìs.

During Prophets time there was no classification of hadees as Saheeh hadees and Daeef Hadees and it was just called Hadees . But when people started narrating false traditions then came a need to classify hadees as Saheeh or Daeef. Similarly during prophets time people used to call oneself Muslims but when people started deviating from true Islam and started doing biddah then came a need to distinguish oneself as Ahlul Sunnah and Ahlul bidah.

During the Prophets SAW time there were no Hadith at all. The earliest Hadith was written hundreds of years after Muhammad SAW died. No one from the best three generations were alive when it was written. Al Bukhari was born almost 200 years after the Prophet SAW died. Authentic Hadith based on what? If you following Hadith which you and your scholars think are authentic, but are not, and then go against the Quran because of those 'authentic' Hadith then you cannot call yourself 'muslim'. There is nothing wrong with believing that Ali RA should have been the first Khalifa. Many people at that time believed that. Abu Bakr RA himself wanted to nominate Umar RA or Abu Ubaidah RA, but then they agreed for Abu Bakr RA. So at that time, many Sahabah supported Ali RA as the first KHALIFA as well. Nothing wrong with that, as election of a KHALIFA is not part of usool Al-deen, they can be elected or chosen (Abu Bakr RA was elected, Omar RA was chosen). If the prophet PBUH had clearly as an order had said Abu Bakr RA was to be the first KHALIFA, then supporting any other candidate would be wrong. So before you write a reply, think about what you are saying, learn about what happened, and don’t be emotional.

Many Ansar supported Ali RA, and many tribes of the Quraysh Sahabah also supported him, and he could have been the first Khalifa had he been at Saqifah, so could have Omar RA and Abu Ubaidah RA. If you know the events, then your question and point is a bit silly. Because the first election was done very quickly due to the political situation, many candidates that could have been first Khalifa were not even considered. So if people still believe today that Ali RA, based on his kinship and merits, should have been the first Khalifa, what is the issue. The fact that there were other candidates in the first election (which took 1-2 days of heavy negotiation), that the second Khalifa was chosen (Abu Bakr could have easily chosen someone other than Omar RA), the 3rd and 4th elections had many candidates as well, means that absolute belief that Abu Bakr RA should have been first Khalifa is not an Islamic belief. Had Omar RA or Abu Ubaidah RA been elected instead of Abu Bakr RA, we would be following them instead of Abu Bakr RA. Are you okay? You seem upset a little bit. I can reverse it. Who are YOU to think that people can't think that. During the first three Khalifas, Ali RA had many supporters. Did the Khalifas go around telling them that they are wrong, or that they can't support Ali RA. Innovation in the deen is deviant indeed, we should follow the Prophet ﷺ and his companions. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said this: (خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ) Translation: (The best of people are my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them) These are al-Salaf as-Salih (the pious predecessors) that we should follow. They were the most faithful to Allah, and the most fearful of Him. Humans have flawed minds, and they tend to follow their own desires, so their "logic" can also be flawed, and it will always be inferior to the perfect wisdom of Allah (swt). Allah almighty said this in the Quran: "Have you seen those who have taken their own desires as their god?" Quran 45:23

​@@jesan733 Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a messenger of God (the last of the messengers), and the proofs of his prophethood are many. Look up the video "Mind Blowing Prophecies of Muhammad ﷺ". Also look up the video "The STRANGEST proof that the Quran is from Allah". Watch both videos if you are sincere and haven't already made up your mind about Islam and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ has no reason to lie about being a messenger of God, in fact he was persecuted and the people tried to kill him when he delivered the message and told them to worship one God (as all prophets of God did). Even his own uncles tried to kill him, and he was driven out of his home town by the disbelievers who were trying to kill him. It's even mentioned in the Quran. "And ˹remember, O Prophet,˺ when the disbelievers conspired to capture, kill, or exile you. They planned, but Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners." Quran 8:30 So ask yourself, why would he choose to lie if this lie causes him so much suffering and make the people around him hate him and want to kill him, including *his own uncles.* He can live a much happier and peaceful life otherwise, but he *CHOSE* to continue the lie which endangered his life and made him suffer? That makes no sense. Even before his prophethood, Muhammad ﷺ was known by the people as "الصادق الأمين" (the truthful and trustworthy). That's how he was known by everyone around him. And that's partly why he was chosen by God to deliver the message to the people, he was the purest soul, and the most worthy to deliver the message, the message to worship God alone and to not associate partners with Him.

Jesus never said to worship him as God, and he will testify against those who perverted his message in the Day of Judgement. Jesus says in Mark 12:29 "The Lord our God, the Lord is one." And he literally calls himself a prophet in Mark 6 Jesus spoke Aramaic. What's God in Aramaic? Alāha Sounds a lot like Allāh doesn't it? Allāh means The One God. [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allāh is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him ˹alone˺. This is the Straight Path." Quran 19:36 “And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allāh will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen.” Quran 5:116 "They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allāh, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him." Quran 9:31 Save yourself before it's too late! This is a matter of eternal salvation! Listen to what Jesus says and worship Allāh, our lord and creator. Islam has the *true* depiction of Jesus. The Bible was corrupted, but the Quran remains pristine and uncorrupted, as Allāh promised to preserve it. "It is certainly We Who have revealed the Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it." Quran 15:9 "Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; ˹It is˺ a revelation from the ˹One Who is˺ All-Wise, Praiseworthy." Quran 41:42 Look into Islam and read the Quran, it is the final testament and the purest word of God. Allah is the One true God, our Creator, the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them all. May Allah bless and guide you. “O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allāh aught but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allāh and His word which He directed to Mary and a spirit ˹created by a command˺ from Him. So believe in Allāh and His messengers. Say not: ‘Three (trinity)!’ Cease!-it is better for you. For Allāh is (the only) One God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allāh is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.” Quran 4:171 The Jews say, “Ezra is the son of Allāh,” and the Christians say, “The Messiah is the son of Allāh.” Such are their baseless assertions, only parroting the words of earlier disbelievers. Allāh's condemnation be on them! How can they be deluded ˹from the truth˺? Quran 9:30 "Worship Allāh and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allāh does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful," Quran 4:36 "We surely sent a messenger among every people, with the message: “Worship Allāh and stay away from the Rebel (Satan).” But among them were those whom Allāh guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So travel through the earth and see the fate of the deniers." Quran 16:36
