Shortening prayer is when you are in high alert for an enemy attack. When you feel secure, you perform the regular prayer. It has nothing to do with distance or time. Read the Quran (2:101-103) again!

We are talking about Sunnah here💯 Shortening of prayer as a traveller is a Sunnah of the prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam 💗

From Al Quran, I can see that the provision is only for one who is in high alert for an enemy attack, not for one who is safe & secure. Therefore, I cannot believe that it is a Sunnah of the prophet (pbuh). Can you bring the Prophet (pbuh) as a witness? Or perhaps, Allah will judge between us. @@SadiyatMagaji

Please chexk hadith in sahih Muslim 691 , Prophet did Qasar at the distance of 3 miles or 9 miles Narrating by Anas bin Malik . Also ibu Majah Abi syiba Umer and Ibn Umer R.A did Qasar at the distance of 3 miles travling
