Huddersfield - A City with Beautiful Landscapes

Huddersfield, England is a city with beautiful landscapes. As the main city in the Kirklees in West Yorkshire, Huddersfield is a small city with a lot of shops, restaurants, and a beautiful park with lush, green hills surrounding the area. I walk around the downtown and check out Greenhead Park as well as get some lunch at the Ephesus Turkish restaurant. I conclude my visit by heading up to Castle Hill which is home to Victoria Tower and the best view of Huddersfield and the English countryside.

Well done on your correct pronunciation of Mirfield, my old home town. Ephesus, named 😂after the ancient Greek city is pronounced "EH-FUH-SUS. Peter Darley Holmfirth

My hometown for 35 years. But it is not a city. It is the biggest town in England though. The first year of the tower was marred by the death of 35-year-old mill manager Edgar North of Belmont Street, who fell from the top of the tower at around 4:20pm on the afternoon of 14 November 1899. There used to be a hotel on the site and my sister had her wedding reception there back in the late 70's

Some of the best buildings in Huddersfield were demolished in the 1960's. Vandalism. They were set to demolish the rest of it too but were prevented.

That is true. I feel that many people only go to certain parts of Canada such as areas in southern Ontario (including Toronto), Quebec, Vancouver/Whistler, Calgary, and Banff.

@@scottman895 yes with most of the population and urban attractions being in the 4 most populated provinces, it's mostly outdoorsy people who have done reading vacationing in the rest of the country.

@@robertsitch1415 Ah, great to know. The US is kind of similar to where people tend to only go to certain areas like on the east coast (Florida, NYC, Washington DC), Chicago, Austin, the national parks out west, and anywhere on the west coast.
