An interesting story I will share. In real life a friend of mine who lived in Britain wanted to have a nice relaxing flight in his Cessna one afternoon. He took off from British soil and flew over to France and took a couple loops around the Eiffel Tower and headed back home. Unbeknownst to him was the French government viewed the act of a British plane circling the Eiffel Tower as an insult and lodged an official protest with the British government. He found out once he landed and was met by high level government officials and the secret service who promptly took him away to be interviewed. He learned the British government had to officially apologize for the incident to the French authorities and he embarrassed the British authorities. Needless to say he did not fly over the channel again. Eventually he moved to the States where we met and I learned of this real life experience of his. Happy to see that your flight in the sim did not meet with the same experience! Blue skies and a gentle tailwind to you all.

Hudds … Been a while. Enjoyed your livestream. Must say I just love using the G1000 for very leisurely flights. On one now between London City and Heathrow via Wimbledon lawn tennis club. Precision is amazing. One thing I'd love you to explain is when you're building your flight plan and selecting an approach I usually use ILS and GPS from CDI. Does the localiser approach green use radio frequencies and what is the best.

If I understand your question correctly: I find using the Nav radios to tune into an ILS frequencies is better & more accurate, for accurately lining up with your chosen runway (assuming it has ILS capabilities).

Where are radio frequencies available in the simulator or do you require other software ?

@@Huddison Thanks again. Are radio frequencies for particular runways available in the simulator or externally. Is this what's called RNAV ?

For those who can't fly along, can we get the flight plan (way points) so we can fly it later?
