Ya I was not expecting the numbers at all. The highest twist weight and lowest swing weight among the hybrids is crazy to me.

Thanks for the GREAT review! Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed when I unwrapped the Gen2 Mage to find it was a different shape than the original's slightly elongated hybrid shape. Now that I've had a chance to get several sessions behind me with the new Gen2 Mage my disappointment has vanished and like you I find it to be a great all-around paddle! Boy is this a fun paddle to play with. Hand battles at the kitchen have gone really well due to the combination of low swing weight and high twist weight. Just get the paddle to the ball and even off center shots still seem to make it where you need them to go. Full swings curl nicely and punch shots get real good pop. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this paddle to anyone looking for a great all court paddle or even just upgrading from a starter paddle to their first "good" paddle .

Kevlar's racket is very cool.

Kevlar is a hit or miss. Some people love them but some absolutely hate them. My brother will not use a kevlar paddle because of the feel.

Great review as usual. I'm not really thrilled that this has the most pop and least control of all of the Hudef paddles.

Wonder if you should just have a paddle tier list instead of a top 10 list. Then you can just have a list of a tier "worth it" paddles instead of trying to maintain a top 10 list that's always changing

Awesome review. I am a Hudef Mage Pro player and was delighted to receive their Mage Pro Gen2. I feel very confident when I use this paddle. It can make me perform very well in hand battles. Absolutely love this paddle.

The extra pop from the mage 1 is definitely enjoyed. I can tell the difference in hand battles as well.
