With German director Daniel Sannwald behind the unexpected visuals, inspiration came from Rodin’s The Kiss. “For the video I recreate that sculpture with two elderly bodies,” explains Daniel. “It was very touching and moving to see two ageing bodies in such an intimate way. I wanted to use them as a symbol of time but also to capture the beauty of such vulnerability.” Explore a mysterious landscape of skin and bones as Anthony’s vocals wash over you, tracing lines of experience and memories in gold. The poetic lyrics tell of a relationship ending; the break of a special bond when so much love remains. “I strongly believe that every deep love has its own place and space and therefore lives on forever,” continues the director. May we all find our own eternal safe place in this stunning collaboration.

Had the oddest thing happen with this song...been listening to it since it's release and just a few days ago I had a dream where the lyrics got stuck in my head. It was like 6 am or so...I had to take my dog to the vet that morning, a few hours later, and went to look this song up because I had to get it out of my head in my truck. It was sitting at the top of my liked songs in KZbin Music. No idea how it happened, I didn't add it myself. Hadn't even listened to it for a bit now. Maybe my pup did it while she was waiting to go to the vet, lol.

@@peterh222 Hi Peter I did give it another go today. Upon reflection, the track is vastly different then the song ("Chimes") that peaked my interest in Hudson Mohowke 9 years ago. It was a shocking stylistic shift away from what I liked in his music. In a vacuum, "Indian Steps" is a fine song, but compared to the hard hitting melodic intensity of Chimes, it still does fall short for me. Sadly, I don't have the time to only listen to this one song till I understand it, but I appreciate your enthusiasm and encouraging me to listen again after all these years.
