That chord progression feels loaded with 30 years of electronic melancholy.

Love the way it starts deceptively simple, and then opens up into typical Plaid genius-level goodness. Can't wait for the album.
@pauls15558 жыл бұрын
it just add parts...it stays simple...it doesn't become "complex"...and doing simple things can be very complex...and there's nothing wrong with simplicity, it is in facts the ultimate goal and the hardest thing to get right. But yeah there's no evolution from simple to complex that you claim. The add simple arrangement parts. It's simple throughout, there's none of the complexity of some Aphex Twin tracks (or some Plaid tracks as well) and it's not a bad thing.

2021 now - Plaid have always and will always deliver quality. They aren't changing much - but in case of Plaid this is a plus. There's something about every track they create. Love, peace and appreciation of earth and nature. Will always love them.

Pure ascension. The powerful mysterious force of the universe lifting me upwards and swirling around me. And just as the intensity peaks and I feel almost overwhelmed, it puts me gently back on the ground. The return to the bassline reminds me; the magic is always there for me to find. This was but a glimpse.

i saw them live and i shit you not all of my friends left to go drink beers at home like 15 minutes into the set. This was in like 2017. I looked at them like they were absolutely fucking insane, deservedly. Wasn't a DJ set. Fuck my friends lmao.

@@heytrevhasbeats9833 that's crazy.... I've seen some of my favorite artists as dj sets and was extremely disappointed, as, well, I didn't pay to hear a computer organized mixtape... But to hear them live, playing their own material with actual instruments, well that'd be pretty cool

Plaid should be way more popular than they are. Their level of knowledge into music theory is dizzying and achingly beautiful. You don't hear transformations like this in other music much. They kind of remind me of The Penguin Cafe Orchestra in their level of experimentation and execution.

They sound like themselves and always have done, apart from their early Black Dog years where they were a bit more like Detroit techno. You can hear the Plaid sound start to develop during eg Spanners. BoC are a completely different kettle of fish . I like them a lot but I like Plaid more.
